The Ames City Council has definitively approved the budgetary modifications that reorganize its municipal budget, after receiving no claims during the public exhibition period. The announcement, number 2026/5614, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 162, dated August 26, 2026.

The decision was adopted by the Plenary of the Ames City Council in an ordinary session held on July 30, 2026, and became definitive automatically as no allegations were presented within the period of fifteen business days.

The modification figures

The modifications are processed through two files that reorganize both the revenue and expenditure budgets:

  • File 13854/2026: credit supplement 1/2026 for the amount of 1,320,721.97 euros and credit reduction 1/2026 for 371,000.00 euros.
  • File 13855/2026: extraordinary credit 1/2026 for the amount of 319,127.82 euros.

The total budget of the council increases from 43,281,247.87 euros to 44,550,097.66 euros, representing a net increase of nearly 1.27 million euros.

Distribution by chapters

In the revenue budget, the credit supplement and the extraordinary credit are concentrated in chapter 8 (financial assets), which increases from 1,381,628.21 to 3,021,478.00 euros, while the reduction of 371,000 euros affects chapter 9 (financial liabilities).

In the expenditure budget, the most affected items are:

  • Chapter 2 (current goods and services): increased by 239,986.92 euros of extraordinary credit and 81,853.57 of supplement, up to 16,821,005.11 euros.
  • Chapter 6 (real investments): receives 79,140.90 euros of extraordinary credit and 688,648.10 of supplement, with a reduction of 371,000 euros, up to 12,523,334.72 euros.
  • Chapter 9 (financial liabilities): increased by 550,220.30 euros of supplement, up to 823,492.66 euros.

The publication complies with the provisions of article 177.2 of the Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Recast Text of the Law regulating local finances, which requires the publication of the summary by chapters of the budgetary modifications.

The public exhibition was carried out in the Official Gazette of the Province number 145, dated August 3, 2026. A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against the definitive approval in the form and within the periods established in Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the contentious-administrative jurisdiction. The announcement was signed by the mayor, José Blas García Piñeiro, dated August 25, 2026.

The budgetary reorganization provides the council with greater capacity for current expenditure and investment, which is expected to translate into a reinforcement of municipal services and investment items for the remainder of the fiscal year.
