Por FactBox Admin

Amaia Susperregui Insausti is the winner of the 2026 Joxe Mari Korta award. The Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, Mikel Jauregi Letemendia, decided the award through an order signed on September 17, after receiving the jury’s proposal. The resolution was published in issue number 186 of the Boletín Oficial del País Vasco on September 29, 2026, with official reference 2026/4033. The order was signed on September 17 and published in the official gazette twelve days later.
Jury proposal and regulatory basis
The award is regulated by the Order of May 16, 2025, from the Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability. That order was published in issue number 94 of the BOPV gazette on May 21, 2025, and it establishes the call for the award and the resolution procedure. Therefore, that order fixes the regulatory basis of the award, including the conditions of the call and the resolution procedure.
The provision applied in this resolution is Article 7 of those regulations. According to that article, after receiving the jury’s proposal, the Minister issues the resolution to grant the award.
The jury was appointed by the Order of July 21, 2026, specifically to resolve this award. That jury made the proposal, and that proposal is the basis of the resolution.
Content of the resolution
The single article of the resolution has two points:
- Having seen the jury’s proposal, to grant the 2026 Joxe Mari Korta award to Amaia Susperregui Insausti.
- That the winner receive an honor, namely, a “distinction, mention or public recognition,” at the event called for that purpose.
The resolution was signed in Vitoria-Gasteiz on September 17, 2026, by the Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability.
Nature of the award
The Joxe Mari Korta award is decided for each event; in this case, it corresponds to the 2026 event. The resolution does not mention any amount of money: the winner will receive an honor, which will be carried out at the called event. The resolution does not mention any other candidates; it only includes the winner’s name and the honor they will receive.
The procedure for granting the award is regulated, and the resolution is carried out by order of the Minister. The order exhausts the administrative route.
Nature of the resolution and appeals
The resolution exhausts the administrative route. There are two ways to appeal against it:
- An optional appeal for reconsideration, before the Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, within a period of one month, starting from the day after its publication in the BOPV gazette.
- A contentious-administrative appeal, directly before the Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Basque Autonomous Community, within a period of two months, starting from the day after its publication in the same gazette.
