Alustante submits the municipal cemetery ordinance to public information.

Por FactBox Admin

The Alustante City Council has initially approved the modification of the regulatory fiscal ordinance governing the Alustante-Motos Municipal Cemetery and submits the file to public information for thirty days. The decision was adopted by the municipal Plenary on 6 March 2026, and the notice is published in BOP of Guadalajara number 153, corresponding to Wednesday, 12 August 2026. During the exposure period, claims and objections to the text may be submitted.

The processing is based on articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of 2 April, Regulating the Bases of Local Government, and on article 56 of the Consolidated Text of Local Government. The notice, signed by the mayoress, Rosa Abel Muñoz Sánchez, dated 28 July 2026, affects the fees paid by residents of Alustante and Motos, the two population centres that share the municipal cemetery.

The plenary agreement of 6 March 2026 initiates the procedure for modifying the ordinance, the purpose of which is to update the regulation of fees for services provided at the cemetery. The initial publication of the text allows any interested party to learn about the content of the reform before its final approval.

The file is processed in accordance with the basic local government regulations, which require prior public exposure of modifications to fiscal ordinances. If the reform is confirmed, it will govern the rates and conditions of the municipal funeral service in both population centres.

Thirty days for objections

The public information period is thirty days, counted from the day following the publication of the notice in the official bulletin. The dissemination is completed by insertion in a daily written media outlet and on the Corporation’s notice board.

During this period, interested parties may:

  • examine the file at the municipal offices of the Alustante City Council;
  • consult the full text of the modification on the municipal website portal, at the address alustante.sedelectronica.es;
  • submit any claims, suggestions or objections they deem appropriate in writing.

Final approval by administrative silence

The ordinance provides for the mechanism of positive administrative silence: if no objections are submitted within the stated period, the modification agreement shall be deemed finally approved without the need for a new express agreement by the Plenary. Only the submission of objections would require them to be resolved before final approval.

The notice includes the verification code 00aa1f5a6000b71a013fbe35b8df5ce8bbd4f439, available to verify the authenticity of the document on the electronic office of the bulletin.

The reform directly affects the residents of Alustante and Motos, users of the municipal cemetery, who will see the rates for funeral services updated. The period for filing objections is the avenue citizens have to influence the final wording of the regulation before it enters into force.
