Alto Palancia announces a vacancy for a home care assistant

The Intermunicipal Association of Alto Palancia has announced a selection process for the permanent filling of a civil service position in the professional category of home care and dependency care assistant, through a competitive examination and merit-based system (concurso-oposición) and via an internal promotion track. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón, number 101, dated August 22, 2026, with reference 03766-2026-U.
The position, classified under Group C, subgroup C2, is announced through the resolution of the Presidency of the Association no. 20246-1160, dated August 20, 2026, which approves the regulatory bases and the call for the selection process. The process is part of the execution of the 2026 Public Employment Offer, published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana no. 10430, dated August 17, 2026, and in the BOP no. 74, dated June 20, 2026, in accordance with Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015 (Basic Statute of Public Employees) and Law 4/2021 of the Valencian Public Service.
Access Requirements
To participate, applicants must meet the requirements of Article 56 of the Basic Statute of Public Employees and Articles 62 to 64 of Law 4/2021. Notable among them are:
- Being a career civil servant as a home care and dependency care assistant of the Association, with at least two years of seniority in the body or scale from which access is sought.
- Holding Spanish nationality or that of an EU Member State, or a work and residence permit in Spain for non-EU citizens.
- Holding a qualification as a technician in care for people in situations of dependency, a professional certificate in socio-sanitary care, a nursing assistant technician qualification, or other equivalents, or accrediting ten years of seniority in the group of professional associations.
- Holding a valid Class B driver’s license and having a vehicle for the travel required by the role.
- Not having been convicted of crimes against sexual freedom, in accordance with Organic Law 8/2021.
Selection System and Scoring
The procedure consists of an examination phase, which is mandatory and eliminatory, and a merit phase. The theoretical-practical exercise, lasting up to two hours, is graded from 0 to 20 points, with a minimum of 10 points required to pass the phase. The merit phase adds up to 13 points, distributed as follows:
- Professional merits, up to 6 points, for services rendered in the Administration and in private companies.
- Academic merits, up to 7 points, which include training (up to 4.50 points), knowledge of Valencian (up to 1.50 points), and EU languages (up to 1 point).
In the event of a tie, it will be resolved in favor of the person who obtains the highest score in the competitive examination phase, followed by services rendered, training, Valencian, and other community languages.
Deadlines and submission of applications
Applications shall be submitted exclusively through the Electronic Office of the Mancomunidad (altopalancia.sedelectronica.es) within a period of twenty calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette. The application must be accompanied by a copy of the identity document, proof of the required qualification or seniority, and a copy of a valid driver’s license.
The remaining announcements of the process will be published on the Notice Board of the Electronic Office. The tribunal, composed of at least five members, will guarantee the anonymity of the applicants through a key number in each exercise. The proposed person will have ten business days to provide the documentation and one month to take possession of the position.

The call for applications reinforces a key service for the care of the elderly and dependent persons in Alto Palancia, whose functions encompass personal hygiene, home assistance, accompaniment, and family support.
