Almería halts the expansion of three wind farms with solar hybridization

The Territorial Delegation of Economy, Finance and European Funds and of University, Industry, Energy and Innovation in Almería has dismissed the prior administrative authorization requested for the expansion of three wind farms in the province, all of which included the installation of a solar photovoltaic plant for hybridization. The decision is detailed in three resolutions dated August 25, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Andalusia (BOJA) number 169, dated September 1, 2026, within the section of other provisions of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds.

The affected projects combine the expansion of existing wind power with the incorporation of photovoltaic generation, a formula known as hybridization that allows for the sharing of evacuation infrastructure and increases renewable production at the same site. Each of the resolutions occupies two pages of the gazette and is part of the prior administrative authorization procedure that regulates the processing of electricity generation facilities in Andalusia.
