Almazul auctions 12.25 hectares of irrigated land in Mazaterón for 3,500 euros per year

The Almazul City Council has called for a public auction, through an open procedure, for the agricultural lease of 12 hectares and 25 areas of irrigated land in the Prado Grande de Mazaterón, an estate belonging to the council itself. The bidding price starts at 3,500 euros per year, upwards, and the contract will cover five agricultural campaigns, from 2026 to 2031. The call was approved in an extraordinary Plenary session on October 6, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria on Friday, October 9, 2026, with the official reference BOPSO-117-09102026.

The announcement, which occupies page 3447 of bulletin number 117, is signed by the mayor, Julio García Hernández, and includes the Particular Administrative Clauses Specifications governing the tender. The auction is aimed at farmers and tenants interested in utilizing an irrigated area located in the municipality of Almazul, in the Mazaterón region.

Object and economic conditions

The object of the contract is the agricultural lease of the municipal estate through an auction, with the award granted to the highest bidder above the fixed price. The published economic conditions are as follows:

• Surface area: 12 hectares and 25 areas of irrigated land (12.25 hectares) in the Prado Grande de Mazaterón.
• Bidding price: 3,500.00 euros per year, upwards.
• Duration: five agricultural campaigns, from 2026 to 2031.
• Payment: by annual installments, the first upon signing the contract and the remaining ones before October 1 of each year.
• Consequence of non-payment: failure to pay by the indicated date is grounds for termination of the contract.

The Almazul City Council undertakes to deliver the use or enjoyment of the asset to the tenant within fifteen days following the date of the award, through the granting of the corresponding administrative contract.

Bonds and submission of bids

Bidders must establish a provisional bond equivalent to 2% of the bidding price, while the definitive guarantee is set at 4% of the award price. The specifications will remain available at the City Council Secretariat for 13 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria.

Proposals shall be submitted in two sealed envelopes, identified with the name of the bidder:

• Envelope A, titled Economic Proposal, adjusted to the official model appearing in the announcement, with the offered amount in words and figures.
• Envelope B, titled Documents, containing the bidder’s supporting documentation.

Required documentation and opening of envelopes

Envelope B must contain the following documentation:

• Photocopy of the DNI (National ID).
• Declaration of not being subject to any prohibition from contracting with the Public Sector.
• Certificate of being up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.

The opening of the bids will take place on the first following business Tuesday or Friday after the submission deadline, at 1:00 PM.

The auction represents an opportunity for the local agricultural sector to access municipal irrigated land under fixed and published conditions, with a horizon of five campaigns that provides stability to the lessee.
