Almazán announces 15,200 euros in grants for the Bajada de Jesús festivities

The Almazán City Council has announced competitive grants for a maximum amount of 15,200.00 euros to finance the activities of peñas (social clubs) and non-profit associations based in the municipality during the Bajada de Jesús 2026 patron saint festivities. The call, approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on August 14, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 97, dated August 21, 2026, with the reference BOPSO-97-21082026.

Beneficiaries and requirements

Entities constituted as peñas, legally registered in the corresponding registry by the end of the deadline, with a fiscal and social address in Almazán and lacking profit motives, may apply for the aid. They must meet, among others, the following requirements:

  • To have the performance of activities specific to this call among their statutory objectives.
  • To be adapted to Organic Law 1/2002, of March 22, regulating the right of Association.
  • To be up to date with tax obligations to the Almazán City Council.
  • Not to be included in other municipal aid lines for this same concept.
  • Not to incur the prohibitions of article 13 of the General Grants Law.

Purpose and amount

The purpose is to incentivize and promote citizen participation within the scope of the Bajada de Jesús 2026 patron saint festivities. The eligible activities and events must be open to the public and held in the street. The credit is allocated to budget application 338.48012, with a maximum total amount of 15,200.00 euros.

Deadline and documentation

Applications shall be formulated using the attached model, addressed to the Mayor-President of the City Council, and submitted at the Entry Registry or through the means specified in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure, within a period of 7 calendar days from the publication in the official gazette. The following documents, among others, must be attached:

  • Proof of identity of the applicant and, where applicable, proof of representation.
  • Registration in the Registry of Associations of the Junta de Castilla y León.
  • Responsible declaration and certificates proving that the applicant is up to date with the Tax Agency and Social Security.
  • Detailed program of activities and a broken-down budget including its sources of funding.
  • Supporting documents, invoices, and a certificate of bank account ownership.

The call, signed in Almazán on August 19, 2026, by Mayor Jesús María Cedazo Mínguez, offers local peñas and associations a direct way to finance the open programming of festivals that form the backbone of the municipality’s social life, with a tight deadline that requires applications to be submitted promptly.
