Alicante consolidates public employment with 45 career civil servants

The Alicante City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante the appointment of 45 career civil servants to various positions within the municipal workforce. The agreements were adopted by the Local Government Board in sessions held on July 21, August 4, 18 and 26, and September 1, 2026, and are announced via edict in issue number 176 of the gazette, dated September 16, 2026.
The publication is carried out in compliance with the provisions of Article 68.1.b of Law 4/2021, of April 16, of the Generalitat, on the Valencian Public Service, which regulates the publicity of appointments for career civil servants. With this measure, the council consolidates municipal public employment following the corresponding selection processes, both through the open competition and through internal promotion and the functional diversity quota.
Assistants and administrative staff, the bulk of the positions
The largest volume of appointments corresponds to the positions of school services assistant and administrative assistant, which account for practically all of the 45 staff members. In the first case, twelve positions have been filled, ten through open competition and two through the functional diversity quota; in the second, twenty-six, divided between internal promotion and open competition.
- School services assistant (open competition): Irene Ruíz Ramos, Adrián Vera Femenia, Francisco Torregrosa Barrios, Cristina M. Membrilla Carratalá, Miguel Ángel Albarral García, Elisa María Gambín Corral, Iván Rosillo Fernández, Rubén Rescalvo Martín-Portugués, Natalia Lozano Escudero and Laura Vargas Vargas.
- School services assistant (functional diversity): María Ángeles Botella Soria and Elena Noguera Terol.
- Administrative assistant (internal promotion): Vanesa Mañogil Ferrando, María del Rocío Pedroche Blanquer, María Mónica Fontán Lusquiños, Paloma Gómez de Diego, Javier Torregrosa Gisbert, Cristina López Giner, María Carmen Zamora Manresa, Paula Pizarroso Aliaga, Gloria Meseguer Carrasco and Natividad Triguero Ramón.
- Administrative assistant (open competition): Verónica Merino Palomares, Aránzazu Cortés Picher, Ana Isabel Camins Carcelén, Inmaculada Caballero Suárez, Elena Seva García, Ana María Cárcel Costumero, María Dolores Pascual Payá, Juan José Giménez Vidal, Ana Iglesias Arnáiz, Inmaculada Mora Más, José Pérez Ruiz, María Contreras Sirvent, Francisco Javier Cascales Miñano, Beatriz Esteban Córcoles, Javier García Guillén and Sergio Segura Sánchez.
Technical and health profiles
Alongside the administrative positions, the edict includes the appointment of personnel with technical, health, and sports profiles, all of them through open competition.
- Degree in Computer Science: Jorge Rodríguez Morala, Isaac Lillo Mingot, David Ayala Ufano, and Francisco José Vilella Canals.
- Nurse, specialist in occupational nursing: Nerea Vico Bonmatí.
- C2 Sports Instructor: Carlos Jiménez Toribio and Javier Puertas Martínez.
Consolidation of the municipal workforce
With these appointments, the Alicante City Council takes another step toward the stabilization of its workforce, permanently incorporating personnel who passed the corresponding selection processes. Filling positions in areas as diverse as school services, administration, computer science, occupational health, and sports reinforces the council’s capacity to provide essential services to citizens with career civil servants, in line with the public employment consolidation policy promoted by Valencian public service regulations.
