Alhama de Granada approves its 2026 public employment offer
Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Alhama de Granada has approved its Public Employment Offer (OPE) for 2026, which provides for four positions among civil service and contractual staff. The agreement, adopted unanimously by the Local Government Board on August 21, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada number 169, dated September 2, 2026 (reference BOP-GRA-2026-169002).
The decision is adopted under Article 91 of Law 7/1985, on the Bases of Local Regime, and Article 70 of the revised text of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015. The agreement, signed by Mayor Jesús Ubiña Olmos on August 25, also includes the modification of the 2025 OPE, with the amortization of one administrative position in the Audit Department.
Four positions for 2026
The 2026 OPE incorporates three civil service positions from the General Administration scale and one contractual staff position:
- Management Technician (group A, subgroup A2, General Administration), 1 vacancy.
- Library Assistant (group C, subgroup C1, General Administration), 1 vacancy.
- Secretariat Assistant (group C, subgroup C1, General Administration), 1 vacancy.
- First-Class Electrician (contractual staff, category C2, special services), 1 vacancy.
Modification of the 2025 OPE
The same agreement modifies the employment offer from the previous year, which is reconfigured after amortizing the administrative position in the Audit Department. Following this adjustment, the 2025 OPE maintains two positions:
- Local Police (civil service staff, group C1, Special Administration), 1 vacancy.
- Head of Works and Maintenance (contractual staff, group C1, Special Administration), 1 vacancy.
Publication and deadlines
The agreement orders the publication of the OPE on the Corporation’s notice board, on the City Council’s electronic headquarters, and in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada. The offered positions must be called for application within a non-extendable period of three years from the date of publication of the offer.
Against the resolution, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor’s Office within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Granada within two months.
The new employment offer represents an opportunity for the residents of Alhama de Granada and the region, who may apply for stable positions in the local administration, ranging from technical and administrative profiles to trades such as electrician. The calling of the positions within the three-year period ensures the renewal of the municipal workforce and strengthens the municipality’s public services.
