Algeciras definitively approves the new rates for its municipal sports services

The Algeciras City Council has definitively approved the modification of the Regulatory Ordinance of Public Prices for the Provision of Municipal Sports Services, which updates the rates for swimming pools, courts, gyms, camps, and facility rentals. The agreement was adopted by the Plenary of the Corporation in the session of June 19, 2026, and becomes definitive as no objections were filed during the public exhibition period. The text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz no. 189, of September 30, 2026, via edict with reference No. 311.690.

The processing corresponds to file 37403/2025, whose provisional approval was presented to the public in BOP no. 133, of July 14, 2026. After the deadline passed without claims, the City Council applies article 49 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and agrees to the definitive approval of the ordinance under the terms of the published annex. The edict is signed by the Deputy Mayor Delegated for Finance, María Solanes Mur, dated September 18, 2026.

The modification affects only article 5 of the regulation, dedicated to the amount, which sets the prices per service and per facility. Against the agreement, which ends the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed within two months from the day following its publication.

Pool, gym, and courts

The new amounts are organized by facilities, led by the “Ciudad de Algeciras” Indoor Sports Center (pavilion and pools) and the “Enrique Talavera” Stadium (athletics tracks and gym):

• Indoor pool: €3.60 per hour for adults (over 14 years); €2.60 for minors; €1.25 for pensioners with a minimum pension or accredited unemployed persons.
• Indoor pool: monthly adult pass €32.00; minor €26.00; pensioner or unemployed €21.50; University of Cádiz or UNED €24.00.
• Gym: €1.50 per one-hour session for adults; €1.00 for pensioners, exam candidates, and local federated athletes; monthly adult pass €18.00.
• Padel courts: €6.20 per hour with natural light and €8.20 with artificial light; €3.10 and €4.10 for entities and groups with an agreement with the Municipal Delegation of Sports.
• Indoor futsal court: €37.00 per full hour (42 x 25 m) and €16.50 for the transverse section (25 x 15 m); €0.80 for local federated clubs in official competition.
• Athletics track: €1.70 per hour for adults; rental of the full track for competition €173.00, and €210.00 with artificial light.

Camps, courses, and sports schools

The section for courses and activities includes the rates for swimming, tennis, padel, maintenance gymnastics, and summer camps:

• Swimming: monthly adult course €30.00; under 14s €22.00; advanced/improvement €23.00; babies €14.00; baby swimming (matronatación) €30.00.
• Municipal Sports Schools: monthly fee €5.00, quarterly €11.00, and annual €30.00.
• Multi-sport Campus or football technical campus: one student for one shift €100.00, two shifts €170.00, and three shifts €220.00; morning or afternoon classroom €4.00.
• Two combined swimming activities per month €45.00, and combined activities from the gymnastics section €34.00.

Rentals, advertising, and discounts

Artificial and natural grass football pitches, advertising, and exhibition spaces complete the fee schedule:

• “La Menacha” football pitches: €37.00 per hour for 11-a-side football and €20.00 for 7-a-side; €41.50 and €30.00 with artificial lighting.
• Natural grass 11-a-side football pitch: €29.00 per hour, and €35.00 with lighting.
• Advertising inside the facilities: €100.00 per square meter per quarter; outside, €21.50; display cases and exhibitors from €72.00.
• Fourth sibling and subsequent siblings at the campus: 100% discount; families with both parents unemployed, 10%; members of large families, 5%.

The closing of the appeals period without claims makes these amounts the current framework for all users and clubs of the municipal sports facilities of Algeciras, from the free use of the pool and gym to the agreements with local entities and federated clubs, which maintain reduced rates.
