Alfoz de Lloredo approves its new traffic and parking ordinance

Por FactBox Admin

The Alfoz de Lloredo City Council has initially approved its Municipal Ordinance Regulating Traffic and Parking, a text that will organize circulation and parking throughout the municipality. The decision, adopted by Plenary Agreement dated June 30, 2025, is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (number 163), with the official reference CVE-2026-6663.

The regulation is now subject to public consultation for a period of thirty days, counting from the day following its insertion in the gazette, so that any interested party may examine it and submit any claims they deem appropriate.

The initial approval is processed in accordance with articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime, and article 56 of the Revised Text of the Local Regime. This is the ordinary procedure for the drafting and approval of municipal ordinances, which requires public exhibition prior to its entry into force.

The announcement was signed in Alfoz de Lloredo on September 5, 2025, by the acting mayor, María Nieves Díaz Pérez, by virtue of Mayoral Resolution No. 179 of 06/20/2023.

How to Consult and Object

During the public consultation period, the text may be examined by any interested party at the municipal offices. It will also be available to citizens on the City Council’s electronic office:

Allegations and claims may be submitted through any of the channels provided for in the common administrative procedure regulations.

Effects of Approval

In the event that no claims are submitted during the aforementioned period, the agreement to approve the ordinance shall be understood as definitively approved without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary. If, on the contrary, allegations are made, the file must be resolved according to the established procedure.

The new ordinance will comprehensively regulate mobility and parking in the municipality, affecting both residents and visitors accessing its population centers. Its entry into force will establish a single regulatory framework for traffic management, signage, and the parking regime on the public roads of Alfoz de Lloredo.
