Alfoz opens the 2026 budget and the personnel staff list to the public

The Alfoz do Castrodouro City Council submits for public information the General Budget, the execution bases, the annex of civil service, labor, and temporary staff, and the Personnel Staffing Table for the 2026 economic year. The initial approval took place during the ordinary session of the city council Plenary on September 24, 2026, and the announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 224, on September 30, 2026, with reference R. 2581. From that publication, a period of fifteen days is opened for any interested party to examine the file and submit any allegations they deem appropriate.

What is being exhibited and on what legal basis

The file submitted for public exhibition comprises the mandatory documentation of the municipal accounts and the texts that develop them:

Definitive approval if there are no claims

In accordance with the agreement adopted by the Plenary, the budget will be considered definitively approved if no claims are presented during the aforementioned period. The publication in the gazette therefore has the character of a mandatory procedure prior to the entry into force of the 2026 municipal accounts and their subsequent execution.

The public exhibition affects both the overall revenue and expenditure forecasts and the personnel structure of the council, such that allegations may refer indistinctly to the budget, the execution bases, or the list of job positions.

The public information gives the residents of Alfoz do Castrodouro the opportunity to review and question the accounts for the next fiscal year before they are definitively fixed. If no claim is presented within fifteen days, the budget and the personnel staff are approved without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary, which establishes the economic and personnel framework under which the council will operate during 2026.
