Aldover presented the repair of the slope of the Barberana path

The Aldover City Council has initially approved the repair works project for a landslide on a slope of the Barberana road, a section affected by the weather events of October 12 and 13, 2025. The agreement was adopted by Mayoral Resolution no. 2026-0000263, dated October 26, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 28, 2026 (CVE 2026-10008, p. 1). The project is open for public inspection for thirty business days for interested parties to submit allegations.

The document reports on a project drafted by municipal commission to repair the collapsed slope and restore the safety of the road, an action that comes one year after the flash floods that damaged several roads in the municipality. The municipal writing does not detail the execution schedule of the works, which will be subject to the result of the public exhibition process and subsequent contracting.

Initial approval and exhibition process

The mayoral resolution contains two agreements. The first is the initial approval of the technical project; the second is its submission for public information via an announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona and on the municipal electronic headquarters.

• Office hours: from 9:30 to 13:30, Monday to Friday.

During this period, interested persons may submit any claims and allegations they deem relevant regarding the content of the project.

Figures and technical authorship

The material execution budget for the action is 55,201.75 euros, to which 11,592.37 euros are added as value-added tax. The resulting total amount is 66,794.12 euros.

The announcement bears the signature of the mayor, Rosalia Pegueroles Gisbert, and the registration date of October 26, 2026.

A year of repairs to Aldover’s roads

The intervention on the Barberana road is added to other rural road conditioning files processed by the council this same year. On September 25, 2026, the provincial gazette published the final approval of the project for the conditioning of municipal rural roads affected by the Paüls forest fire, specifically the Ossera road, with a budget of 36,691.51 euros plus 7,705.22 euros in VAT (CVE 2026-08815).

That project was also drafted by the same agricultural engineer and received the approval of the mayor, a fact that confirms a continuous line of work on the municipal road network damaged by weather events and the fire.

Impact for residents

The Barberana road is a rural route commonly used for access to estates and for internal mobility within the municipality, so the repair of the embankment is decisive for restoring traffic under safety conditions. The publication of the announcement now opens the phase in which any resident or entity can review the project and submit amendments before the work is tendered, an essential preliminary step for the repair to be executed.
