Aldeanueva de Ebro publishes the grades and proposes Ana Abad as a technician

The City Council of Aldeanueva de Ebro has published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja the final grades and the appointment proposal for the selection process to permanently fill a position as Intermediate-Level Technician. The decision is formalized through the Mayoral Resolution of August 31, 2026, published in issue number 168 of the gazette, dated September 2, 2026, in section II (Authorities and Personnel).

The call for this position, which is filled by a career civil servant, was published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 90, dated May 13, 2025. After concluding the two mandatory and eliminatory exercises of the competitive examination phase and evaluating the merits of the competition phase, the Qualifying Board, in a session on August 4, 2026, agreed to submit to the Mayor’s Office the appointment proposal in favor of the applicant with the highest final grade.

The proposed applicant and her grades

The only applicant who has passed the selection process is Ana Abad Hernández, with ID number *9197, who obtained a total score of 94.70 points. Her results by phase are as follows:

• First exercise: 32.00 points.
• Second exercise: 44.00 points.
• Competition phase (merits): 18.70 points.
• Total score: 94.70 points.

Deadline for submitting documentation

The resolution requires Ana Abad Hernández to present, within a period of 20 calendar days from the publication in the Official Gazette of La Rioja, the supporting documents of the conditions to participate in the opposition as required by the second clause of the process rules. Those who hold the status of public official are exempt from providing documentary justification for the conditions and requirements already proven for their previous appointment, and must instead present certification from the ministry, local corporation, or public body to which they report.

Appeals and legal framework

The resolution, which exhausts administrative remedies, is issued under Article 22 of Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10, and Article 136 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18, as well as clause 8.3 of the rules governing the process. The following may be filed against it, alternatively:

• Optional appeal for reversal before the Mayor-President, within one month.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court, within two months.

The resolution is signed by the Mayor-President, Ángel Fernández Calvo, in Aldeanueva de Ebro on August 31, 2026.

With this publication, the Riojan municipality concludes a selection process initiated in 2025 and takes a definitive step toward the permanent appointment to a key technical position for municipal management, which is of particular interest to candidates and the City Council staff as a whole.
