Aldealpozo announces the vacancy for the position of Titular Justice of the Peace

The Aldealpozo City Council has opened a public call to fill the vacancy for the position of Titular Justice of the Peace of the municipality, as stated in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria, number 108, dated September 16, 2026 (page 3160). Interested parties will have a period of thirty business days, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement, to submit their application requesting the election.

The decision rests with the council itself, which will proceed to elect the person who will occupy the position. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Mª. Luisa Morales Carramiñana, dated September 7, 2026.

Regulatory Framework

The call is based on Organic Law 6/1985, of July 1, of the Judiciary (published in the BOE on July 2, 1985) and Regulation No. 3/1995, of June 7, of the Justices of the Peace (BOE of July 13, 1995). Both regulations govern access to a position of local judicial relevance, the filling of which corresponds to the municipal plenary.

Requirements for Applicants

To apply for the position of Titular Justice of the Peace, candidates must meet the conditions required by current regulations:

• Be a Spanish national.
• Be of legal age.
• Not be subject to any of the causes of incapacity established in Article 303 of Organic Law 6/1985.
• Not be subject to any of the causes of incompatibility established in Article 389 of the same law.

Submission of Applications

Applications must be submitted to the Aldealpozo City Council within the period of thirty business days, which will begin to be counted the day following the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette. The call is framed within the Local Administration section of the gazette, under the heading of city councils.

Filling the vacancy ensures the continuity of the judicial peace function in the municipality, an essential body for the resolution of minor matters and for the correct functioning of the administration of justice in the rural area of Soria.
