Aldaia definitively approves its municipal plan against flood risk
Por FactBox Admin

The Aldaia City Council has completed the processing of its Municipal Action Plan for Flood Risk with the final approval of the document. The Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia number 199, dated October 16, 2026, publishes the corresponding announcement within the Municipalities section, with the official reference 2026/12469. This insertion closes the file and establishes the plan as a formally approved instrument available for public consultation.
The announcement is submitted by the council itself and inserted into the gazette edited by the Provincial Council of Valencia, corresponding to year CXCIV and number 199 of 2026. The BOP warns in its header that the publications appearing in the gazette are the sole responsibility of the submitting bodies, meaning the accuracy of the content corresponds to the city council that sends it. The text appears on page 2 of the issue, within the block of municipal announcements, and the issue incorporates the verification code CSV: BOPV-20261016-199.
From municipal processing to final approval
The phrasing used in the summary, “final approval,” places the agreement in the final phase of the municipal procedure: the plan has already passed the instruction and public exhibition phases and remains as the council’s reference regarding prevention and response to floods.
The announcement is published in section I of the gazette, which is reserved for announcements from city councils and other administrations, alongside insertions from many other municipalities in the province. The reference 2026/12469 is the identifier with which the BOP numbers the announcement and the one that must be cited in any inquiry or request for a copy.
A second municipal agreement in the same issue
The same issue of October 16 contains a second announcement from the Aldaia City Council, in this case regarding the delegation of functions of the Integrated Action Plan for Reconstruction “EDIL Plan where water and the city coexist”, with reference 2026/12482.
Both announcements share the same section and outline the municipal architecture for risk response: on one hand, the action instrument for floods; on the other, the integrated reconstruction plan and the delegation of functions to execute it.
- 2026/12469: final approval of the Municipal Action Plan for Flood Risk.
- 2026/12482: delegation of functions of the Integrated Action Plan for Reconstruction “EDIL Plan where water and the city coexist”.
What it means for residents, businesses, and insurers
The publication of the final approval provides residents and companies with an official reference to turn to when they need to prove to an administration or an insurance entity which prevention framework the municipality has approved.
For businesses and economic activities located in flood-prone areas, the announcement identifies the document and its reference number, allowing for a copy to be requested and the content to be verified without relying on indirect sources.
The bulletin does not reproduce the full text of the plan in this issue: it is limited to reporting the final approval agreement and its reference, meaning the detailed content must be consulted at the town hall itself.
A bulletin marked by reconstruction
The October 16 issue places the Aldaia announcement in a summary where recovery following the catastrophe has its own presence: the Utiel Town Hall publishes in the same issue the call for grants for the direct awarding of financial aid to the relatives of those deceased due to the DANA, with reference 2026/12509 and BDNS identifier 931527.
The coincidence in a single bulletin of a municipal flood plan and aid lines for DANA victims underscores that prevention and reparation are advancing through separate but simultaneous administrative channels in the province of Valencia.
Furthermore, the final approval of the Aldaia plan arrives at a time when the province’s town halls are finalizing their emergency instruments and reconstruction plans, making the announcement one more piece of an administrative process with regional scope.
For the residents of Aldaia, the practical effect is having an approved and published document to anchor any subsequent procedure: from requests for urban planning information to claims against an insurance company for damages associated with flash floods.
