Por FactBox Admin

Alcaracejos nombra a Beatriz Ceballos miembro de la Junta de Gobierno

The Alcaracejos City Council has dismissed María José Romo Bravo as a member of the Corporation’s Governing Board and has appointed Beatriz Ceballos López in her place. The decision was formalized through Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-0293, dated September 9, 2026, and was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba No. 189, dated September 30, 2026, in the Local Administration section (reference BOP-A-2026-3182, page 14112).

The proceedings were initiated by Mayoral Order on September 9, 2026, and included the mandatory report from the Secretariat. The resolution is issued under Article 21.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and Articles 41.3 and 46.1 of the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities, approved by Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28. The document was signed in Alcaracejos on September 17, 2026, by the Mayor-President, José Luis Cabrera Romero, and bears the Secure Verification Code 7F4D813E014F6F2D7A66.

The agreements of the resolution

The operative part of Resolution No. 2026-0293 is structured into six points:

  • Revoke the Mayoral resolution by which María José Romo Bravo was appointed as a member of the Governing Board.
  • Appoint Beatriz Ceballos López as a member of the Corporation’s Governing Board.
  • Personally notify the dismissed person of the resolution.
  • Personally notify the appointee of the resolution, which shall be considered tacitly accepted unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • Forward the resolution to the Official Gazette of the Province for publication and disseminate it on the City Council’s notice board.
  • Report the resolution to the Plenary during the first session to be held.

Who leaves and who enters

María José Romo Bravo held a significant position in the municipal government team: she was the councilwoman to whom the Mayor delegated all mayoral functions, except for treasury procedures, during the period from August 17 to 27, 2026, while the mayor was on vacation, according to Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-0262, dated August 14, 2026. In that capacity, she signed as Acting Mayor the public information announcement for the credit modification file No. 267/2026, published on September 7, 2026.

Beatriz Ceballos López is a councilwoman of the same City Council and had already been exercising delegated mayoral powers: Resolution No. 2026-0283, dated August 31, 2026, authorized her to perform a civil marriage on September 5, 2026. With her appointment, she joins the collegiate body that assists the Mayor in the political and administrative direction of the municipality.

Publication and effects

The resolution takes effect from the day following its signature by the Mayor, unless otherwise provided therein, without prejudice to its official publication. The text is referred to the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba and the municipal notice board, and the Plenary must be informed of the change at its first session.

The replacement does not alter the composition of the Plenary nor the result of the municipal elections, but it does affect the internal correlation of the governing team: the departure of the person who had served as first deputy mayor and the entry of a councilwoman with already accredited delegated powers point to a reorganization of the distribution of tasks in the City Council of Alcaracejos. For the residents, the change translates into who signs and resolves municipal matters within the Governing Board, a body whose decisions affect the ordinary management of the municipality.
