Alcantarilla eleva a definitivo un crédito extraordinario de 1,5 millones

The Alcantarilla City Council has finalized the credit modification file no. 12/2026, through an extraordinary credit and a credit supplement for a total amount of 1,500,000 euros. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), number 210, dated September 11, 2026, page 20857, with the official reference A-110926-4354.

The plenary agreement for initial approval, adopted on July 30, 2026, has been automatically elevated to final status as no allegations were presented during the public exhibition period, in accordance with the provisions of articles 169.3 and 5 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Francisca Terol Cano, dated September 2, 2026.

Destination of Funds

The budget modification is structured into two figures: an extraordinary credit and a credit supplement, totaling 1.5 million euros. The funds are distributed among three actions:

  • Education Center Infrastructure: €674,622.00 (extraordinary credit).
  • Replacement of road infrastructure: €325,378.00 (extraordinary credit).
  • Paving: €500,000.00 (credit supplement).

Financing

The entire operation is financed through the budget item 87000, General Expenditure Surplus, for the amount of €1,500,000.00. In this way, the City Council uses available own resources to meet the new investments without the need to resort to additional debt.

Appeal Period

An administrative appeal may be filed against the final approval agreement before the Administrative Litigation Court, within a period of two months starting from the day following its publication in the BORM, pursuant to articles 8 and 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Administrative Litigation Jurisdiction, and article 171.1 of the aforementioned revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.

The operation reinforces the municipality’s investment capacity in educational facilities and the improvement of the road and paving network, actions with a direct impact on the daily lives of the residents of Alcantarilla. By being financed with a treasury surplus, the measure allows for the execution of public works without increasing the council’s financial burden.
