Alcanó opens grants of 75,000 euros for entrepreneurs and freelancers

The Alcanó City Council has announced grants for business owners and freelancers in the municipality, with a maximum budget of 75,000 euros, funded by the Nuclear Transition Fund. The call, approved by mayoral decree on August 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida (BOPL) number 167, dated September 1, 2026, with edict 7399 and official reference BOP-2026_0_167_7399.
The purpose of the guidelines is to promote the economic development of the municipal district through the creation of new job opportunities, the stimulation of new local economic activity, and progress toward the energy transition. The call is part of the municipal strategy to foster employment, support entrepreneurship, and diversify the local economy, within the distribution of funds from the Nuclear Transition Fund. Three lines of aid
The grants are distributed across three lines of action, each with its own budget:
- Line 1. Energy transition (10,000 euros): actions that demonstrate progress toward climate neutrality and align with energy efficiency.
- Line 2. Creation of new jobs (35,000 euros): indefinite and full-time hiring of one or more workers.
- Line 3. Creation of a new economic activity (30,000 euros): actions aimed at local economic promotion.
In the event that the final award resolution does not exhaust the credit of any line, the surplus may be transferred to the other subsidy lines.
Who can apply
Beneficiaries may be individuals or legal entities who are holders of economic activities that meet the requirements of each line. The eligible actions must have been executed between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2026, in accordance with the conditions and requirements of section Four of the guidelines.
The specific regulatory guidelines were published in the BOP of Lleida on July 6, 2026. The budget credit may be expanded by the managing body during the awarding process, in accordance with article 58 of Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulation of the General Law on Subsidies.
Application deadline
The deadline for submitting applications is 20 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida (BOPL). The call is signed by the mayor, Elena Farrús Farran, dated August 28, 2026.
