Alcalá la Real announces four Erasmus grants of 600 euros for university students

The City Council of Alcalá la Real has announced four supplementary Erasmus+ grants of 600 euros each for the 2025/2026 academic year, aimed at students of the Universities of Granada, Córdoba and Málaga registered as residents in the municipality. The call is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Jaén, number 157, of 14 August 2026 (document 2026/3928), and its extract is recorded in the National Database of Grants with identifier 924830.

The announcement, processed under file number 4516/2026, complies with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General Grants, which requires the publication of the extract of the calls in the provincial bulletin and its insertion in the BDNS. The full text of the terms and conditions can be consulted on the municipal electronic office and on the City Council’s website, and participation implies full knowledge and acceptance of the regulatory terms. The document is signed in Alcalá la Real on 13 August 2026 by the mayor-president, Antonio Marino Aguilera Peñalver.

Beneficiaries and purpose

The beneficiaries may be persons pursuing studies at the Universities of Granada, Córdoba and Málaga, who have obtained an Erasmus+ grant or a mobility place in the calls for Africa, America, Asia, Europe (non-Erasmus) and Oceania for the 2025-2026 academic year and are registered as residents in the municipality of Alcalá la Real.

The purpose is to cover part of the expenses borne by students enrolled at these three university centres who participate in the international mobility-Erasmus programmes, as well as those in Africa, America, Asia, Europe (non-Erasmus) and Oceania, during the 2025/2026 academic year. The distribution of the four grants is established as follows:

• Two grants for students of the University of Granada.
• One grant for students of the University of Málaga.
• One grant for students of the University of Córdoba.

Amount and budget credit

The planned budget allocation amounts to a maximum global amount of 2,400 euros, charged to budget item 241 48100 of the municipal budget. Four grants of 600.00 euros each will be awarded, aimed at offsetting part of the costs of the international stay of the beneficiary students.

Deadline and submission of applications

The deadline for submitting applications and documentation will be 15 calendar days, counted from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Jaén, through its insertion in the BDNS. Submission outside the deadline will constitute grounds for exclusion from the grant award procedure.

• Applications will be processed through the electronic headquarters of the Alcalá la Real City Council, using the standardized form with electronic signature and the documentation required in the terms and conditions.
• The official model provided as Annex II of the regulatory terms must be used.
• The decision of inadmissibility will be individually notified to the interested party, in accordance with articles 40 to 44 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure.

This call consolidates the commitment of the Alcalá la Real City Council to equal opportunities in access to international mobility, by offsetting part of the expenses of students from the municipality enrolled in the three Andalusian universities. For those preparing to stay abroad during the 2025/2026 academic year, these grants provide direct financial relief and an incentive to complete their education outside Spain.
