Alcalá la Real convoca 50.000 euros en ayudas para nuevas empresas

The City Council of Alcalá la Real (Jaén) has announced grants, on a non-competitive basis, for investment in new companies established preferably in the historic center-north zone of the municipality, in the urban centers of its villages, and in the rest of the urban area. The call, signed by the mayor Antonio Marino Aguilera Peñalver on September 8, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén number 176, dated September 10, 2026, pages 13447 and 13448.

The announcement is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS) with identifier 928233. The objective is to promote the economic and social development of the municipality by favoring the establishment of new companies, with a higher subsidy intensity in the case of catering activities, which are considered of special interest to the locality.

Beneficiaries and requirements

Beneficiaries may be validly constituted companies, registered in the corresponding business registry or registered for the Economic Activities Tax in the case of individual entrepreneurs, who meet the following conditions:

  • Start activity in the municipality, as a new company or through the opening of a new establishment, between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026.
  • Establish themselves preferably in the historic center-north zone of Alcalá la Real, its villages or scattered rural habitat centers, and in the rest of the municipality if age or disability requirements are met.
  • In villages and scattered centers, businesses are only permitted to open in urban areas.

Publicly funded entities and public administrations, as well as associations, foundations, joint ventures, and civil societies, are excluded. Investments not carried out in ground-floor commercial premises, nor premises located in public spaces of the city council or the Junta de Andalucía destined for CADE, Coworking spaces, and CME, are also not subsidized.

Amount and deadline

The budget allocation amounts to a maximum global sum of 50,000 euros, charged to budget application 2026 433 77000. The deadline for the submission of applications and documentation ends on September 30, 2026, inclusive, counted from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén.

Submission of applications

The application and its justification shall be submitted electronically through the electronic office of the City Council of Alcalá la Real, by completing the standardized electronic form, which must be electronically signed by the legal representative of the entity using a personal digital certificate (DNIe, etc.) and accompanied by the documentation required in the guidelines. The regulatory guidelines are available in the electronic office and on the council’s website, as well as in the BDNS.

The call for applications represents a direct boost to the revitalization of the historic center and the villages of Alcalá la Real, by incentivizing the opening of new businesses in areas that the city council itself considers priority, with reinforced support for the catering sector. Interested entrepreneurs have barely three weeks from the date of publication to formalize their applications electronically.
