Alcalà de Xivert opens 500 euro grants to digitalize businesses

The City Council of Alcalà de Xivert has published the regulatory bases for the call for grants aimed at the digitalization of economic activities carried out in the municipality by freelancers or micro-enterprises. The call, identified with reference 03980-2026-U and identifier BDNS 927102, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón number 108, dated September 8, 2026, and is processed under a direct award regime.
The grants are awarded under the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the City Council’s General Subsidies Ordinance, approved by the Municipal Plenary on November 25, 2020, and published in the BOP number 9, of January 21, 2021. The total budget allocated to the call amounts to 10,000 euros, charged to the budgetary application 430-780.00 of the current municipal budget.
Beneficiaries and requirements
Natural and legal persons who meet the status of freelancers or micro-enterprises and carry out their economic activity within the municipal district of Alcalà de Xivert may access the grants. A micro-enterprise is considered to be that defined according to Annex I of Regulation (EU) No 651/2014, i.e., one that employs a maximum of 10 workers and whose annual turnover or balance sheet does not exceed 2 million euros.
- Be registered in the IAE (Economic Activities Tax) of the municipality or appear on the list of exempt entities, registered in the Census of entrepreneurs, professionals, and withholding agents.
- Have no more than 10 workers registered with Social Security or a professional mutual fund.
- Be up to date with tax obligations to the AEAT (State Tax Administration Agency) and the TGSS (General Social Security Treasury).
- Have no outstanding debt with the City Council nor have been a beneficiary in previous years.
- Provide proof of payment of invoices for amounts up to 500 euros, with a payment date between January 1, 2026, and the end of the application period.
Eligible expenses and amount
The individualized amount will be 100% of the eligible expenses, with a maximum of 500 euros per application, and in no case may it exceed the amount of the justified expenses. Expenses effectively paid that clearly correspond to the digitalization of the activity are eligible for financing:
- Acquisition of electronic equipment or devices (computer, digital camera, mobile phone).
- Contracting of services for the development of online stores.
- Acquisition and implementation of management software and hardware, digital marketing, e-commerce, or videoconferencing.
- Digitalization kit, photography, and product uploading to platforms.
- Acquisition of POS (Point of Sale) equipment and other commercial management equipment for new forms of payment.
IBI (Property Tax), VAT, and other taxes and fees, labor and Social Security costs, and cash payments will not be eligible for subsidies. The grants are compatible with other subsidies for the same purpose, although beneficiaries must report the co-financing of the same expense.
Submission and Processing
Applications shall be submitted at the General Registry of the City Council of Alcalà de Xivert, at calle Puríssima, 21, or at avenida Valencia, 66 in Alcossebre, by appointment, or through the electronic office. The deadline will be thirty business days starting from the day following the publication in the BOP, and only one application per natural or legal person will be admitted.
The authority to resolve corresponds to the Local Government Board, with a period of six months from the end of the submission deadline. Payment will be made via a single bank transfer for the total amount granted. The document is signed by the mayor, Francisco Juan Mars.
