The Alcañiz City Council has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants, as well as the composition of the qualifying board, for the selection process to fill one position for Municipal Vehicle Driver within its labor staff. This measure is adopted by Mayoral Resolution No. 3080, of October 23, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel (BOP) No. 206, of October 27, 2026, with the official reference 2026-3110. Excluded persons have ten business days to rectify their applications.

Open competition and examination for one position from the 2024 offer

The call for applications stems from Mayoral Resolution No. 1815, of June 30, 2026, which approved the rules of the process. These rules were announced in the BOP of Teruel No. 133, of July 16, 2026, in the Official Gazette of Aragon (BOA) No. 149, of August 4, 2026, and in the Official State Gazette (BOE) No. 195, of August 10, 2026.

The position—one for Municipal Vehicle Driver—is filled through a competitive examination system, in an open call, and is included in the public employment offer for the year 2024, published in the BOP of Teruel No. 151, of July 24, 2026.

The deadline for submitting applications ended on September 7, 2026. After verifying the documentation provided, the resolution now approves the provisional list of applicants.

Eight admitted and two excluded

The provisional list of admitted applicants consists of eight people:

The excluded section lists two applicants, for the following reasons:

Alberto Calvo García: failure to prove possession of a valid type B driver’s license within the application submission period.
Antonio Cidoncha Sanz: failure to prove possession of a valid CAP for the type D license within the application submission period.

Ten business days to rectify and challenge period

The agreement grants a period of ten business days, counting from the day following the publication of the resolution in the BOP of Teruel, for excluded applicants to rectify any correctable defects.

The qualifying board may also be challenged by the applicants within a period of ten business days. The resolution orders the publication of the agreement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel, on the notice board of the electronic headquarters of the Alcañiz City Council, and on the municipal website.

The selection body is constituted according to the rules with the following members and substitutes:

Impact for applicants

The resolution does not yet set a date for the first exercise of the competitive examination phase for this position, unlike the announcement for the Electricity Supervisor process (2026-3108) released on the same day, which schedules the test for November 23, 2026, at the old Casino de Alcañiz. The two individuals excluded from the driver process therefore have up to ten business days from the date of publication to submit the documentation proving the Type B license or the CAP for the Type D license, as applicable, to avoid being left out of the pool of applicants for a permanent job position in the city council.
