Alcázar publishes the provisional list of Local Police applicants

The City Council of Alcázar de San Juan has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants for the selection process to fill, as career civil servants, two Local Police positions in Group C, Subgroup C1, through the open competitive examination system. The resolution, issued on August 28, 2026, by the Delegated Department of Personnel, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 168, dated September 2, 2026, as announcement number 2804.

The call for applications is processed under file 2026/7792P, initiated by Mayoral Order on May 21, 2026. The rules were approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on June 23, 2026, and published in BOP number 118, dated June 24, 2026, while the extract of the call appeared in the BOE number 178, dated July 23, 2026. The application period ran from July 24 to August 20, 2026, both inclusive.

Selection process figures

The process has registered a total of 238 applicants, of whom 163 appear as admitted and 75 as excluded in the provisional list. Among the admitted are applicants from throughout the region, with a wide representation of local surnames.

Causes for exclusion and rectification

The exclusions correspond to rectifiable defects detailed in rule 6.1 of the call, identified by letters A through E. The main reasons are unsigned or incomplete applications, lack of proof of fee payment or exemption, and failure to provide unemployment certificates or benefit statements from the SEPE.

• D: uninterrupted unemployment period report not provided.
• E: SEPE benefit certificate not provided.

Excluded applicants have a period of ten business days, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement, to rectify the cause of exclusion. Within the same period, interested parties may claim the possible omission of their name from the list of admitted applicants, justifying their right to be included. Those who do not rectify or claim within the deadline will be excluded from taking the tests.

Next steps of the process

Once the claims regarding exclusion or omission have been resolved, or if none occur by the end of the period, a resolution will be issued establishing the final list of admitted and excluded candidates, the nominal composition of the Qualifying Board, the place and date of its constitution, and the date for the first exercise of the competitive examination phase. This resolution will be published in the BOP, on the electronic notice board, and on the City Council’s website.

The resolution, signed by the delegated councilor for Personnel, Juan Benjamín Gallego de la Torre, is a procedural act against which no appeal may be filed, although interested parties may lodge any appeals they deem appropriate in defense of their rights.

The publication of this provisional list opens a key phase for the dozens of applicants from the region seeking a permanent position on the staff of the Local Police of Alcázar de San Juan. The correct rectification of defects within the specified period is decisive in order to gain access to the competitive examination tests.
