An open selection process for two more positions
The incorporation of these five officers coincides with the development of another selection process within the same body. This is the call to fill two Local Police career civil servant positions in the open entry category through competitive examination, processed under file 2026/7792P and initiated by Mayoral order on May 21, 2026.
The published milestones of that process are as follows:

Qualifying tribunal and first physical tests
The resolution of the final list also established the composition of the qualifying tribunal and the schedule for the first test. The presidency is held by Pedro Lorente Úbeda, with Vicente López Serrano Moraleda as substitute, and the secretariat by María Jesús Castillo Lara, with Ana María Parra Rodrigo as substitute. The body is completed by members appointed by the Local Police Headquarters, the Mayor’s Office-Presidency, the Personnel Board, and the Citizen Protection School, in addition to two technical advisors.
The physical aptitude test will be held on October 14 and 15, 2026, at the Municipal Sports Complex, on the athletics track at Avenida de Herencia, s/n, Alcázar de San Juan. The call-up will begin with surnames starting with the letter “Q”, in accordance with the resolution of November 26, 2025, from the General Directorate of Public Service of Castilla-La Mancha. The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, Rosa Melchor Quiralte.
In parallel, the City Council maintains an open call for one Local Police position through the mobility system via a merit competition, the rules of which were approved by the Local Government Board on September 1, 2026, and published in BOP number 177, dated September 15, 2026.
Reinforcement of the municipal workforce
The appointment consolidates the definitive incorporation of five officers into the municipal workforce, a step that closes their period as trainees and grants them the status of career civil servants. For the residents of Alcázar de San Juan, the measure translates into an effective reinforcement of the Local Police service, an area of high citizen demand, in a context where the City Council also maintains two other selection and mobility processes open to expand the force.
