Alcázar de San Juan convoca una plaza de Policía Local por movilidad

The City Council of Alcázar de San Juan has approved the guidelines for filling a vacant Local Police position through the mobility system, via a merit-based competition, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 177, dated September 15, 2026 (announcement number 2927). The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board in a session held on September 1, 2026.

The announced position belongs to the Basic Scale, Police Category (art. 14 of Law 8/2002, of May 23, on the Coordination of Local Police of Castilla-La Mancha), classified in Group C, Subgroup C1, within the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale. The position appears in the Job Position List with destination level 20 and a specific supplement of 17,741.29 euros, full-time.

Applicant Requirements

Civil servants from the Local Police forces of Castilla-La Mancha who meet the following requirements may participate:

  • Be a civil servant of a Local Police Force of Castilla-La Mancha in the Police category, with a minimum seniority of three years in the same.
  • Hold a High School diploma (Bachiller), Technical degree or equivalent, or have completed the training activities for exemption provided by law.
  • Have remained in the last job position obtained through any provision system for a minimum of two years.
  • Hold driving licenses types B and A or A2.
  • Not be in a second-activity status nor suffer from causes of diminished physical or psychological aptitudes.

Those who are disqualified or under a final suspension, as well as those in an administrative status other than active without having fulfilled the residency period, are excluded.

Submission of Applications and Selection System

Applications shall be submitted within fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official State Gazette, electronically through the City Council’s Electronic Registry or in person at the Registry Assistance Office (O.A.C.), at calle Santo Domingo, 1. No examination fee is established.

Selection will be carried out through a merit-based competition system, in two phases:

  • General merits (60% of the score, maximum 60 points): seniority, academic qualifications, training courses, and decorations.
  • Specific merits and personal interview (40%, maximum 40 points): knowledge of the street map and the municipal district of Alcázar de San Juan, of the municipal organization, and of the specific functions of the Local Police.

The order of performance will begin with the applicants whose first surname starts with the letter “Q”, in accordance with the Resolution of 11/26/2025 of the Department of Finance, Public Administrations and Digital Transformation of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha. The process must be resolved within a maximum period of three months from the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha.

Taking Office and Appeals

The proposed applicant must present the supporting documentation within a period of twenty calendar days from the publication of the final list of selected candidates. The taking of office must take place within a period of five business days from the cessation of the previous position, which must occur within three business days from its publication in the BOP. Personnel occupying the position through mobility will remain, in their administration of origin, in a status of services in other Public Administrations.

Against the call, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor’s Office-Presidency within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Ciudad Real within two months.

The call opens a mobility route for local police officers of Castilla-La Mancha who wish to transfer to Alcázar de San Juan, a reference municipality in the province of Ciudad Real. As it is a merit-based competition without a competitive examination, seniority, training, and knowledge of the municipality will be the decisive factors for awarding the single offered position.
