Albacete appoints Alberto Reina Moreno as Councilor-Secretary of the Governing Board

The Mayor’s Office of Albacete has appointed Alberto Reina Moreno as Councilor-Secretary of the Local Government Board, along with seven substitute councilors, through Mayoral Resolution no. 6782/26, dated August 19, 2026. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete, number 99, dated August 26, 2026, within the third Section of Local Administration.

The resolution is issued in accordance with the provisions of article 124.4 of the local regime regulations and in the exercise of the powers corresponding to the Mayor’s Office for the establishment of the organization and structure of the municipal executive Administration. The appointment and the substitutes

The agreement designates Alberto Reina Moreno as Councilor-Secretary of the Local Government Board, a collegiate body that assists the Mayor’s Office in the exercise of its executive functions. Along with him, seven substitute councilors are appointed, in the order in which they are listed:

Competence framework

The designation is based on article 124.4 of the local regime framework legislation, which grants the Mayor’s Office the power to organize the municipal executive Administration. The Local Government Board is the body that permanently collaborates with the Mayor’s Office in the government and administration functions of the municipality; therefore, filling the secretary position of this body is essential for the ordinary functioning of the local executive.

Publication and subsequent procedure

The resolution itself provides that the agreement be published in the Official Gazette of the Province and that the Municipal Plenary be informed of it in the first session it holds. In this way, the appointment is formalized and submitted to the knowledge of the plenary body, thus completing the planned administrative procedure.

Filling the secretary position of the Local Government Board guarantees the continuity and correct development of the sessions and agreements of the municipal executive body. For the residents of Albacete, this appointment ensures that the processing of local government matters remains operational, with a team of councilors designated to replace the holder when necessary.
