Albacete constituye el tribunal para la plaza de Oficial de Bomberos

The Albacete City Council has constituted the qualifying board for the vacant position of Fire Service Officer, called for open competition. The decision is formalized through resolution number 7988/2026, dated October 2, issued by the Delegated Councilor for General Coordination of Municipal Government Operation, Communication between Areas, Councilorships, Services, and Departments. The text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 117, dated October 7, 2026, in the Third Section. Local Administration (pages 9 to 11).

The position is included in the 2024 Public Employment Offer and its call began with the approval of the specific bases by agreement of the Local Government Board on March 12, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 41, dated April 10, 2026. The announcement of the call subsequently appeared in the Official State Gazette number 211, dated August 27, 2026, such that the application submission period ended on September 25, 2026.

The resolution is issued in exercise of the functions delegated by the Local Government Board through the agreement of June 22, 2023, and after examining the report issued by the city council’s Human Resources and Occupational Risk Prevention Service.

Composition of the qualifying board

The selection body consists of five titular members and five substitutes, in addition to the secretariat:

  • Ismael Pérez Tendero, Director of the Fire Service of the Albacete City Council (titular member).
  • Francisco Jesús García Jiménez, Director of the Human Resources and Occupational Risk Prevention Service of the Albacete City Council (titular member).
  • Mario Núñez Sanz, Head of the Special Extinction and Rescue Section of the Albacete City Council (titular member).
  • Damián Soriano García, Fire Service Officer of the Albacete City Council (titular member).
  • Ana Cristina Verdú Aroca, Head of the Citizen Protection Service of the Provincial Delegation of Finance, Public Administrations, and Digital Transformation in Albacete of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (titular member).
  • Cesáreo Mínguez Tolsada, Ana Martínez Giménez, Antonio Rodenas Martínez, Juan Valverde Bleda, and Juan José Alarcón Martínez (substitute members).
  • Francisco Javier Lorenzo León, Head of the Training and Personnel Planning Support Office, as titular secretary, with Isabel Haro Cerezo as substitute.

Forty admitted and three exclusions

The resolution also approves the provisional list of admitted persons, totaling 40 applicants, and the list of excluded persons, consisting of three candidates due to failure to pay the examination fees:

  • Patricia López Muñoz.
  • Javier Matesanz Martín.
  • Lorenzo Morán Narro.

The three may justify their right to admission within the period enabled for this purpose.

Correction period and notice board

A single, non-extendable period of ten business days, counted from the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete, will be available to correct the defect that led to the exclusion or the lack of express inclusion. Those who do not correct the defects within that period will be definitively excluded.

The City Council also designates the municipal notice board as the channel for the public display of announcements relating to this selection process.

This step is decisive for the candidates: with the tribunal already constituted and the provisional lists on the table, the process enters its correction phase and the holding of the tests approaches. Excluded applicants now have ten business days to avoid being left out of a call that reinforces the staff of the Fire Service of the Albacete capital.
