Albacete approves the final lists for multipurpose caregiver

The Albacete City Council has approved the final lists of admitted and excluded persons for the provision of three vacant positions for Multipurpose Caregiver via open competition, and has set the date for the first exercise (theoretical) for the coming November 7, 2026. The decision is detailed in resolution 7110/2026, dated September 3, issued by the Delegated Councilor for General Coordination of Municipal Government Operations, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 105, dated September 9, 2026.

The three positions are included in the Public Employment Offers of 2023 and 2025. The specific rules of the call were approved by the Local Government Board on March 12, 2026, and published in BOP number 41, dated April 10, 2026, with an announcement in the Official State Gazette number 96, dated April 20, 2026.

Final lists of admitted and excluded persons

Following the correction period opened after the publication of the provisional list in BOP number 71, dated June 22, 2026, the Examining Board, in a session on August 31, 2026, agreed to approve the final lists. In total, 253 applicants have been admitted and 45 have been definitively excluded.

The most frequent reasons for exclusion are:

• Lack of the negative certificate for sexual offenses.
• Lack of the required qualifying degree.
• Failure to pay the examination fees.
• A combination of several of these requirements.

Date and location of the first exercise

The first exercise, of a theoretical nature, will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 4:30 PM at the University Campus facilities in Albacete, in the Melchor de Macanaz Building. Applicants must arrive with the documentation required in the rules of the call.

Appeals against the resolution

The resolution may be optionally appealed for reversal within one month, or challenged directly before the contentious-administrative jurisdictional order within two months, both counted from its publication in the BOP. The procedure is governed by articles 112, 123, and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure, and by article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.

The call, which began with the publication of the rules in April 2026, now enters its decisive phase with the holding of the theoretical exam in November. With 253 admitted for only three positions, competition will be high, and the final resolution of the lists represents a key step for the hundreds of applicants who have followed the process since its start.
