Aitor Muñiz Coronado, new vice president of the Santa Coloma Music Board

Aitor Muñiz Coronado has been appointed vice president of the Municipal Music Board of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, a position that will allow him to assume the functions of the presidency in the event of a vacancy, absence, or illness of the holder. The appointment was agreed upon in the session of the Board’s Governing Board on July 9, 2026, at the proposal of the Mayor-President of the City Council, and is now being reported to the Plenary. A relief to guarantee ordinary operation

The decision responds to the urgent need to guarantee the ordinary operation of the institution given the absence due to illness of the president, Blanca Padrós Amat, during the past month of July. To avoid the paralysis of the Board in that situation, the Governing Board adopted immediate measures and appointed the new vice president.

The position is granted to Aitor Muñiz Coronado, current councilor member of the organization’s Governing Board. According to Article 18 of the Board’s Statutes, the vice president will assume the functions of the presidency in case of vacancy, absence, or illness.

The agreement is based on local government regulations and the organization’s own statutes:

• Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Government (art. 23.3).
• Royal Decree 2568/1986, approving the Regulation of Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities (arts. 44 and 47).
• Article 19 of the Board’s Statutes, regarding the competence of the president to exercise the highest representation of the organization and its board.

The president of the Board, Blanca Padrós Amat, proposed to the City Council Plenary the adoption of the agreement to report the appointment, which was signed in Santa Coloma de Gramenet on August 24, 2026.

Publication and effects

The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona in compliance with the second point of the resolution, which orders its publication, and will be reported to the Plenary in the first session to be held. The measure reinforces the continuity of the Board’s management during a moment of leadership transition within the organization.
