Aguilar aprueba definitivamente 1,9 millones para 20 alojamientos intergeneracionales protegidos

The City Council of Aguilar de la Frontera has definitively approved the credit modification file for extraordinary credit 6/2026, which allocates 1,919,683.43 euros to the construction of 20 intergenerational protected housing units. The agreement was signed by the mayor Francisca Herrador Cosano on October 28, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 212, dated November 3, 2026 (official reference BOP-A-2026-3676, p. 15738). The amount comes entirely from the City Council’s liquid treasury surplus.

An extraordinary credit without claims

The file had been open for public inspection and no allegations were presented against it, therefore the provisional approval was elevated to definitive. The agreement is final in the administrative channel, meaning that a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed against it within two months of its publication in the provincial gazette, before the High Court of Justice of Andalusia, without prejudice to any other appeal deemed appropriate.

The modification is incorporated into the General Budget for the 2026 fiscal year through an entry in the expenditure statement and is supported by Article 37 of Royal Decree 500/90 for financing with treasury surplus, in this case resulting from the 2024 liquidation.

The destination: 20 accommodations next to the Plaza Teatro Español

The budget entry is detailed in a single application, 1521/682.00, titled “(IFS 2025) PROY CONST. 20 ALOJAMIENTOS INTERG PROGR. FOMENTO VIVIENDA PROTEGIDA”, for the total amount of 1,919,683.43 euros. In the resources chapter, application 870.00 “Treasury surplus for general expenses” covers exactly the same figure.

The project has a direct precedent published in the same gazette: the City Council of Aguilar de la Frontera communicated that its Plenary, in an ordinary session on September 24, 2026, approved the Financially Sustainable Investments file with a single project, application 1521.68200 “Financially Sustainable Investments, 20 accommodations Plaza Teatro Español”, endowed with 1,919,683.43 euros (reference BOP-A-2026-3295, BOP number 192, dated October 5, 2026, p. 14241).

Two other modifications that reinforce the allocation

The same edition of the gazette includes two complementary credit modifications that increase the project’s allocation above the initial extraordinary credit:

  • Credit supplement 3/2026 (BOP-A-2026-3675, pág. 15736-15737): adds 109,079.81 euros to application 1521/682.00 for the 20 housing units project. The complete file amounts to 417,579.81 euros and is financed by the remaining balance from the 2025 settlement.
  • Extraordinary credit 7/2026 (BOP-A-2026-3677, pág. 15739-15740): incorporates 70,000.00 euros into application 1521/627.19, “Technical management of the proj. 20 intergen. housing units protected housing promotion prog.” The file totals 150,300.00 euros, also charged to the 2025 remaining balance.

With these three operations, the City Council of Aguilar de la Frontera mobilizes 2,098,763.24 euros of own resources regarding the same intergenerational protected housing project: 1,919,683.43 euros for construction, 109,079.81 euros as a supplement, and 70,000.00 euros for technical management.

Deadlines and processing

  • Provisional approval and public exhibition without claims, a prior step to the final approval of extraordinary credit 6/2026.
  • Publication of the final agreement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 212, dated November 3, 2026.
  • A period of two months, starting from that publication, to appeal before the High Court of Justice of Andalusia.

The file for extraordinary credit 6/2026 is closed with the mayor’s signature on October 28, 2026, and its full insertion in the provincial gazette, a document that includes the accounting summary of expenses and resources and the secure verification code of the announcement.

The operation turns the protected housing promotion into one of the pillars of the 2026 municipal budget. The 20 intergenerational housing units are endowed with more than 2.09 million euros of municipal own resources, without resorting to debt, which provides continuity to the plenary file from September and allows for the tendering of construction and technical management charged to already settled fiscal years.
