Aguas de Ames opens two selection processes for technical positions

The Public Business Entity Aguas de Ames EPEL has called two simultaneous selection processes for the definitive coverage of two vacant positions included in its 2026 Public Employment Offer. The calls, approved by the Board of Directors at extraordinary session no. 18 of 6 August 2026, were published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of A Coruña on Tuesday 18 August 2026 (no. 156), in the section on Other Entities and Private Notices, under announcement numbers 2026/5388 and 2026/5390.
Aguas de Ames EPEL is a public entity dependent on the Ames City Council, established for the direct management of the public services that make up the municipality’s Integrated Water Cycle (IWC). Both positions are resolved through the competitive-examination system, which includes an eliminatory examination phase and a second competition phase for the assessment of merits.
The position of Management Technician (career civil servant)
The first call (file 14772/2026) refers to a position of Management Technician with the status of career civil servant. This is a full-time post at 100%, assigned to Professional Group A, subgroup A2 (general administration scale, management subscale), within the functional area of legal-economic affairs.
The specific requirements for this position are:
- Official university qualification of Bachelor’s degree, Licentiate degree, Architecture, Engineering, Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the Galician language at level CELGA 4 or equivalent.
The selection process includes a first compulsory and eliminatory exercise consisting of a multiple-choice test of 30 questions and a practical test (each with a maximum score of 10 points, 20 in total). Those who do not certify CELGA 4 must pass a specific translation test. The competition phase may add a maximum of 13 points for the assessment of merits. The call also creates a temporary employment pool/list for the temporary coverage of equivalent positions.
The position of 1st Class Services Officer (indefinite labour personnel)
The second call (file GD. 14774/2026) calls for a position of 1st Class Services Officer under the regime of indefinite labour personnel. The post is full-time, classified in Professional Group 2 (P.G.2): Level A, and is assigned to the functional area of operative worker.
The requirements for this position are:
- Qualification or intermediate vocational training, first grade, certificate of professionalism or equivalent, in accordance with Article 15 of the VII State collective agreement for the integrated water cycle.
- Knowledge of the Galician language at level CELGA 2 or equivalent.
- Type B driving licence.
The opposition phase comprises a multiple-choice test of 20 questions and a practical test (maximum score of 20 points) and, where applicable, a Galician language exercise. The competition phase can add a maximum of 13 points.
Deadlines and submission of applications
In both selection processes, the deadline for submitting applications is 20 natural days counted from the day following the publication of the announcement of the call in the Official State Gazette (BOE). Applications must be submitted through the electronic registry of the Electronic Headquarters of the Ames City Council, addressed to the Department of the Mayor’s Office (Chairmanship of the Entity). They may also be submitted by any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
The necessary documentation includes a copy of the ID card, a responsible declaration of compliance with requirements, a list of merits with supporting documents, and copies of the required Galician language certificates and qualifications. The calls provide for their subsequent publication in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) and in the BOE, which will mark the start of the official period for submitting applications.
