The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food has opened the call for de minimis aid to compensate for productivity losses in the beekeeping and rabbit farming sectors, with a budget of 2,300,000 euros. The measure is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) no. 9770, of October 9, 2026, through Resolution ARP/3587/2026, of October 5 (CVE-DOGC-A-26280045-2026). Interested farmers have 10 business days to submit their application.

The call derives from the regulatory bases approved by Order ARP/167/2026, of September 7 (DOGC no. 9749, of 10.9.2026), and carries the BDNS code 933961. The applicable regime is that of Commission Regulation (EU) 1408/2013, of December 18, 2013, regarding de minimis aid in the agricultural sector, meaning that no notification or communication to the European Commission is required.

The objective is to contribute to the maintenance and economic viability of holdings affected by the sustained decrease in production, prevent the abandonment of holdings, and preserve the productive fabric and economic activity linked to these sectors. The resolution is signed by the Minister Òscar Ordeig i Molist.

Deadlines and application methods

  • Submission deadline: 10 business days from the day following publication in the DOGC.
  • Submission: electronic, according to the forms available on the Electronic Office.
  • Effects of the resolution: the day following publication.
  • Resolution of the procedure: maximum term of six months; negative administrative silence.
  • Appeals: appeal for reversal within one month; contentious-administrative appeal within two months.

Allocation and amounts per line

The maximum planned amount is 2,300,000.00 euros, allocated to the budgetary application AG03/D/470000100/6120/0000 “To private companies” of the 2026 budgets. It is distributed into two lines:

  • Line 1, beekeeping sector: 1,500,000.00 euros.
  • Line 2, rabbit farming sector: 800,000.00 euros.

The amounts per beneficiary are as follows:

  • Beekeeping: up to 16 euros per transhumant hive declared in the census for professional beekeepers (capacity equal to or greater than 150 hives); up to 10 euros per hive in other cases.
  • Rabbit farming: pro-rata distribution of the available amount, up to a maximum of 8 euros per declared animal, including breeding does, breeding bucks, and replacement animals.

If the aid granted to one line does not exhaust the assigned budget, the remaining amount will be reassigned to the other line.

Competition and evaluation bodies

The beekeeping line is granted under a competitive competition regime, with priority for transhumant hives of professional beekeepers; the rabbit farming line, under a non-competitive competition regime, with pro-rata distribution according to available funds.

  • Instructing body: Livestock Ordering Service.
  • Granting resolution: the holder of the Directorate General of Agriculture and Livestock.
  • Evaluation Commission: Sub-directorate General of Livestock, Animal Health Service and Animal Feed and Livestock Production Safety Service.

The census taken into account is the last one declared in the Livestock Telematic Management (GTR) application between January 1, 2026, and the day before the publication of the call. The total amount of de minimis aid cannot exceed 50,000 euros per company in any three-year period.

The call comes in a context of pressure on production costs and represents direct support for the continuity of beekeeping and rabbit farming holdings throughout Catalonia, with a very short application deadline that forces livestock farmers to act immediately.
