Agadic grants 434,989 euros to 27 cinemas in Galicia

The Galician Agency for Cultural Industries (Agadic) grants a total of 434,989.30 euros to 27 commercial cinemas located in Galicia. The granting resolution, issued on October 2, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) number 195, of October 14, 2026, in section III, Other provisions, with the reference CVE-DOG: ixc6tkc8-pm24-fss6-qec3-bk0ncxqfhco5.

Regulatory framework and processing

The grants derive from the Resolution of June 22, 2026, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies, under a non-competitive concurrence regime, for the development of activities in commercial cinemas located in Galicia, convened for the year 2026 under the procedure code CT207C. The bases were published in DOG number 124, of July 6, 2026.

The procedure was processed until the exhaustion of the credit, without priority between applications, and the distribution criterion was the order of entry into the Electronic Registry of the Xunta de Galicia. The application submission period opened on July 17, 2026, and closed on August 17, 2026.

On September 28, 2026, the director of Agadic, as the instructing body, submitted the resolution proposal to the Presidency of the Governing Council, which issued the final resolution on October 2, 2026. The amount has a de minimis character in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/2831 of December 13, 2023.

27 applications were submitted, all admitted and all subsidized. Individual amounts range between 6,890.00 euros and 21,000.00 euros:

Appeals and effects of the resolution

The resolution exhausts the administrative route. The following may be filed against it:

Optional appeal for reversal before the president of the Governing Council of Agadic, within one month from the day following publication.
Contentious-administrative appeal before the contentious-administrative courts of Santiago de Compostela, within two months.

Publication in the DOG produces the effects of notification to all interested parties, in accordance with article 45 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. The resolution is signed by Jacobo Sutil Nesta, director of the Galician Agency for Cultural Industries.

The distribution confirms the weight of the large chains in Galician exhibition, but also the presence of independent theaters and revitalization projects in regions such as A Mariña, A Estrada or O Xunqueira. For the sector, line CT207C is consolidated as the main public instrument of support for programming, technical modernization and the maintenance of commercial theaters in Galicia.
