Four tourist inspection and surveillance posts awarded

The Department of Finance and Public Administration has resolved the ordinary competition for the provision of vacant job positions for the management body of the general Administration of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, subgroup A2, tourism inspection scale, and the administrative body, subgroup C1, inspection agents scale in the specialties of road surveillance, mobility, and hydraulic public domain. The decision was adopted through the Resolution of September 8, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG no. 173, of September 11, 2026), p. 48621, with the official reference CVE-DOG: ssuqcw67-qy53-pmx1-gdl1-tu1al22wo7q7.

The competition was convened by the Resolution of May 26, 2026 (DOG no. 104, of June 5). After examining and resolving the claims filed against the provisional assessment of merits, the Assessment Commission, in its meeting on September 7, 2026, submitted the award proposal to the General Directorate of Public Employment and Personnel Administration, which is now being made public.

Awarded positions

The resolution awards four positions, with destinations in three municipalities, according to the published annex:

  • Santiago Xosé Bacariza Cortiñas (A2), position 1, code PX.A20.00.003.15770.016, Tourism Inspector, in the Presidency of the Xunta de Galicia, in Santiago de Compostela, level 22, with 22.106 points.
  • Enrique González Blanco (C1), position 61, code IV.A19.10.000.36001.185, Road Surveillance Officer, in the Department of Housing and Infrastructure Planning, in Pontevedra, level 18, with 15.802 points.
  • Luis Miguel Romero Díaz (C1), position 8, code PR.C09.00.002.15770.008, Auxiliary Inspection Agent, in the Department of Presidency, Justice and Sports, in Santiago de Compostela, level 22, with 16.954 points.
  • Alejandro Salvado Botana (C1), position 17, code IV.A19.10.000.15001.141, Auxiliary Works Technician, in the Department of Housing and Infrastructure Planning, in A Coruña, level 18, with 16.792 points.

Possession deadlines and conditions

The possession deadlines derived from the resolution are deferred until the resolution indicating the start date of said deadlines is published in the DOG. In accordance with base X of the call, the awarded destinations are non-renounceable, unless another destination is obtained through a public call, free designation, or competition prior to the end of the possession period, in which case the person may choose between the two positions.

Where applicable, the successful candidates must communicate the selected option in writing to the General Directorate of Public Employment and Personnel Administration within three days following the publication in the DOG of the resolution that opens the possession periods. Transfers will be considered voluntary and will not generate a right to compensation.

Appeals

Against this resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the same department within one month of its publication in the DOG, in accordance with Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure, or directly a contentious-administrative appeal before the corresponding jurisdictional sections within two months, in accordance with Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.

The resolution was signed in Santiago de Compostela on September 8, 2026, by the Minister of Finance and Public Administration, with delegation of signature (Order of 8.1.2020; DOG no. 16, of January 24) to Nuria Aguilar Vázquez, general director of Public Employment and Personnel Administration.

The allocation of these positions reinforces the staff dedicated to tourist inspection and the surveillance of roads, mobility, and public hydraulic domain in three of the main Galician cities, a relevant step to guarantee the control and supervision of these public services in the community.
