The Directorate General for Youth of the Department of Culture, Language and Youth announces the resolutions awarding places and granting scholarships at the youth residences of Lugo, Ourense and Vigo for the academic year 2026/27. The announcement is published in the Official Journal of Galicia (DOG No. 152, of 13 August 2026, p. 44446), with the official reference CVE-DOG dn8aadd1-j6x7-snb9-q7t8-mtfcbogng1j8. The resolution, signed on 3 August in Santiago de Compostela by the Director General, Lara del Carmen Meneses Álvarez, orders the publication of the final lists of the three territorial departments.

The regulatory framework is the Order of 21 May 2025 (DOG No. 105, of 4 June), which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of places and scholarships, and the Resolution of 29 April 2026 (DOG No. 92, of 20 May), which announces the offer for the 2026/27 academic year through three procedures: BS303B (places for students), BS303C (places for scholarship-holder collaborating students) and BS303D (places for working people). In total, 233 places are offered, distributed among the three residences.

233 places between Lugo, Ourense and Vigo

The distribution by centre and procedure is as follows:

  • Youth Residential Complex Lug I (Lugo): 81 places (71 from BS303B, 4 from BS303C and 6 from BS303D).
  • Florentino López Cuevillas Residence (Ourense): 60 places (50 from BS303B, 5 from BS303C and 5 from BS303D).
  • Altamar Residence (Vigo): 92 places (79 from BS303B, 6 from BS303C and 7 from BS303D).

Resolutions of the territorial departments

In accordance with Article 13 of the order, the award resolution corresponds to the head of the territorial department of the province where the residence is located, by delegation from the head of the department. Thus, Annex A contains the Resolution of 29 July 2026 of the Territorial Department of Lugo, signed by the territorial director Manuel Antonio Fernández Piñeiro; Annex B, the Resolution of 30 July 2026 of the Territorial Department of Ourense, signed by Sandra Quintas Vázquez; and Annex C, the Resolution of 24 July 2026 of the Territorial Department of Pontevedra, signed by María Isabel Couselo Torres. In all three cases, publication in the DOG has the effect of notification, in accordance with Article 45 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of the public administrations.

Demand and final lists

491 applications were submitted for the 233 places: 154 in Lugo, 145 in Ourense and 192 in Vigo. The resolutions include the lists of beneficiaries, the waiting lists with the scores obtained, the withdrawals and the rejected applications.

  • In Lugo, 152 applications were admitted and evaluated (146 from BS303B and 6 from BS303C), with 2 dismissed and 20 withdrawals in the student procedure.
  • In Ourense, 137 were admitted (127 from BS303B and 10 from BS303C), with 24 withdrawals or waivers in BS303B and 6 not admitted in BS303C.
  • In Vigo, all 192 applications submitted were admitted (171 from BS303B, 18 from BS303C and 3 from BS303D), with 29 withdrawals in BS303B.

In the three centres, the unfilled BS303D places (6 in Lugo, 5 in Ourense and 5 in Vigo) were offered to non-scholarship students of BS303B, in accordance with article 2.2 of the call.

Obligations of beneficiaries and appeals

Beneficiaries must submit the documentation indicated in article 15 of the order and pay one full month’s fee as a place reservation; in the case of Vigo, the deadline is ten business days from publication. Collaborating scholarship students must submit the final report in the month following the end of the scholarship. The resolutions exhaust the administrative route and may be appealed by means of a voluntary reconsideration appeal within one month or by direct challenge before the High Court of Justice within two months, counted from the day following publication. Additionally, the lists will be disseminated on the website of the General Directorate of Youth (xuventude.xunta.es).

With the publication of these resolutions, displaced students and families now know with certainty the assigned places and scores, as well as the places that may be filled from the waiting list for the start of the 2026/27 academic year.
