Awarded the improvement of the EP-3102 Tomiño-Sabarís and the surveillance of the Vigo Headquarters

The Governing Board of the Provincial Deputation of Pontevedra, in an ordinary session held on August 28, 2026, awarded the road safety improvement works on the provincial road EP-3102 Tomiño-Sabarís and the security and surveillance service for the Vigo Headquarters, and invited proposals for the tourism promotion campaign for the Rías Baixas Destination. The agreements were adopted unanimously and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) number 168, dated September 2, 2026.

The session was presided over by Rafael Domínguez Artime, with the attendance of deputies Roberto José Álvarez Carrero, Juan Pablo Castillo Amigo, Jorge Cubela López, Ricardo Martínez Chantada, Manuel Alejandro Lorenzo Alonso, María Pilar Ramallo Vázquez, and Jesús Vázquez Almuíña, and with secretary María Beatriz del Cerro del Río and comptroller Susana Escaloni Varela. President Luis López Diéguez and deputy Luisa Sánchez Méndez did not attend, having justified their absence.

Awarding of works on the EP-3102

The Governing Board awarded the simplified open procedure convened for the contracting of the work “Road safety improvement through surface replacement and horizontal signaling on E.P. 3102 Tomiño-Sabarís, from P.Q. 10+400 to P.Q. 19+667”, which affects the municipalities of Tomiño, Gondomar, and Baiona (File 2025071504).

• Intervened section: from kilometer point 10+400 to 19+667.
• Actions: surface replacement and renewal of horizontal signaling.
• Affected municipalities: Tomiño, Gondomar, and Baiona.

Surveillance of the Vigo Headquarters and Rías Baixas campaign

In the same agreement, the open procedure for the contracting of the security and surveillance service for the Vigo Headquarters and the Tourism Service was awarded (File 2026002381). Likewise, proposals were invited for the restricted procedure convened for the “Creativity and launch service for the communication and tourism promotion campaign of the Rías Baixas Destination” (File 2025073287).

Other agreements of the session

In the same session, among others, subsidies for canoeing, rowing, and sailing sports clubs were approved, as well as aid for non-profit social entities and investments from the +Provincia Plan 2026-2027 for the municipalities of Arbo, A Lama, As Neves, Salvaterra de Miño, Tui, and Lalín. The definitive guarantee was also returned to the company INTERNACIONAL PERIFÉRICOS Y MEMORIAS ESPAÑA, S.L.U. and the waiver of the Lantaño EEI for the Vive O Rural 2026 program subsidy was accepted.

These decisions confirm the Deputation’s drive for road safety on one of the provincial roads with the highest traffic in the Baixo Miño region, while reinforcing the protection of its headquarters and the tourism promotion of one of the most visited destinations in the province.
