Customs launches Project Hermes 2 with a 45-day pilot plan

The National Customs Service has launched the integration phase of the Hermes System with warehouse operators and established a pilot plan of 45 calendar days, according to exempt resolution No. 98-2026-01381, dated July 31, 2026, signed by the National Director of Customs, Alejandra Arriaza Loeb. The measure was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in the General Regulations section, under reference CVE 2857027.
The provision, issued by the Ministry of Finance through the National Customs Directorate, modifies the Compendium of Customs Regulations and directly affects importers, logistics operators, and warehouse operators participating in Chilean foreign trade.
Scope of the resolution
Exempt resolution No. 98-2026-01381 establishes three main measures that come into effect as of the date of its publication:
- Launch of the Integration phase of the Hermes System with warehouse operators.
- Establishment of a pilot plan for a period of 45 calendar days, according to the details indicated in the regulation itself.
- Modification of Appendix VIII: Container Operators, of Chapter 3 of the Compendium of Customs Regulations.

The Hermes 2 project seeks to modernize customs management and streamline clearance processes by digitally integrating warehouse operators with the service’s central system.
