Adriana Baravalle: new secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology

The National Executive Branch appointed the magister Adriana Baravalle as Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology of the Office of the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, through Decree 730/2026 published this Thursday, August 13, in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic. The same rule accepts the resignation of Darío Leandro Genua, who held the position until July 27, 2026.

Decree 730/2026 (identifier DECTO-2026-730-APN-PTE) was signed on August 12 in the City of Buenos Aires by the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, and by Diego César Santilli, and is issued in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 99, subsection 7, of the National Constitution, which authorizes the President to appoint and remove officials of the Executive Branch. The rule was recorded in the August 13, 2026 edition of the First Section of the Official Gazette (edict No. 56911/26).

Resignation accepted

Article 1 of the rule accepts, effective July 27, 2026, the resignation submitted by the Business Administration graduate Darío Leandro Genua (National ID No. 23,100,967) from the position of Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology of the Office of the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers. Article 2 thanks the outgoing official for the services rendered while serving in that position.

The new head

Article 3 appoints the magister Adriana Baravalle (National ID No. 21,382,808) to lead the secretariat, an area under the Office of the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers that concentrates the innovation, science and technology policy of the national State. Article 4 orders that it be communicated, published, and referred to the National Directorate of the Official Registry for dissemination.
