ADIF-Alta Velocidad abre información pública de expropiaciones del corredor Burgos-Vitoria

ADIF-Alta Velocidad has opened a public information period of fifteen business days regarding the list of assets and rights affected by the Valle de las Navas-Piérnigas subsection of the platform project for the Burgos-Vitoria corridor. The announcement, signed on September 17, 2026, by the general director Luis Llamas Martínez, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 189, dated October 5, 2026 (reference BOPBUR-2026-04127). The period begins the day following publication and affects owners in six municipalities of Burgos.

The procedure is supported by articles 18 and 19.1 of the Compulsory Expropriation Law of December 16, 1954, and the corresponding articles of its regulation, approved by decree on April 26, 1957. Its purpose is the declaration of the need to occupy the land required to execute the works of the “Platform construction project. Madrid-Basque Country-French Border connection. Section: Burgos-Vitoria. Subsection: Valle de las Navas-Piérnigas,” promoted by ADIF-Alta Velocidad, an entity dependent on the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

Any person may provide in writing the appropriate data to rectify possible errors in the published list or oppose, for reasons of substance or form, the need for occupation. The list includes 473 properties distributed among the municipal boundaries of Rublacedo de Abajo, Carcedo de Bureba, Piérnigas, Rojas, Valle de las Navas, and Quintanapalla, with expropriation, easement, and temporary occupation areas expressed in square meters.

Highlighted figures

  • Largest expropriation: property M-09.3272-0216, belonging to Aguas de Sanagonte, S.L.U. (mining concession “Zorita” / 4788), with 6,683,052 m².

  • M-09.9048-0094-C00, belonging to the Administrative Board of Temiño, with 119,763 m² of temporary occupation.
  • M-09.3272-0147, belonging to the Neighborhood Board of Rublacedo de Arriba, with 66,782 m² in total.
  • Among the holders are also the Provincial Council of Burgos, the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation, the Regional Government of Castilla y León, and numerous private individuals.

The announcement opens the way for affected owners and rights holders to review the surface area attributed to them and correct it before the occupation is declared, a preliminary step to the drawing up of records and the determination of the fair price. As it is a subsection of the Burgos-Vitoria corridor, the procedure directly affects the rural environment of La Bureba and the plateaus near the capital, where the expropriation of rural properties and mining concessions conditions the continuity of the works.
