Adamuz appoints interim municipal architect due to the leave of absence of the permanent holder

The City Council of Adamuz (Córdoba) has appointed Noemí Iglesias Cans as interim Municipal Architect, in temporary substitution of the permanent holder of the position, who is currently on temporary disability leave. The decision, adopted by the Mayor-President Rafael Ángel Moreno Reyes through Decree No. 1091/52026, of August 14, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 166, of August 27, 2026 (reference BOP-A-2026-2929, pages 12705-12706).

Temporary coverage of the position

The decree is issued under Article 10.1 b) of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, regulating the appointment of interim civil service personnel for temporary substitution. The measure seeks to guarantee the continuity and proper functioning of municipal services during the period in which the permanent holder remains on leave.

The authority for the appointment corresponds to the Mayoralty-Presidency in accordance with Article 21.1 h) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.

Exhaustion of the employment pool

The file reflects that the coverage could not be carried out through the employment pool established by Decree 1562/2024, of November 11, for the position of Municipal Architect Civil Servant. After calling the members of the aforementioned pool according to the established order, without it being possible to effect the coverage, the Personnel Department requested the job offer processed through the Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) to select a person with the necessary requirements.

Conditions of the appointment

The new municipal architect must take office within three days counting from the day following the receipt of the notification of the resolution. The duration of the appointment is linked exclusively to the cause that motivates it:

• It will end upon the reinstatement of the substituted civil servant.
• It will also cease if the cause that gave rise to the appointment disappears.

The decree, signed in Adamuz on August 18, 2026, was authorized before the acting secretary Sonia Cano Medina, and orders the publication of the appointment in the official gazette and on the City Council’s notice board.
