ACRA strikes off 22 companies from Singapore register of companies

The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) has struck 22 companies off the Register of Companies with effect from 9 September 2026, dissolving the entities under section 344A of the Companies Act 1967. The notice was signed by Muhammad Farook Fahmita Parveen, Assistant Registrar of Companies and Businesses at ACRA, and carries the official reference [ACR.O.PM.06.0001]. Section 344A of the Companies Act 1967 allows the Registrar to strike a company off the register where it has ceased to carry on business or has failed to comply with statutory obligations. Once struck off, the company is dissolved and its legal personality ceases, meaning it can no longer enter into contracts, hold assets or be sued in its own name.

The strike-off takes effect from the date stated in the notice, in this case 9 September 2026. Creditors and business counterparties of the dissolved entities should note that any outstanding claims must be pursued through the appropriate legal channels, as the companies no longer exist as legal persons.

Impact on creditors and counterparties

For creditors, suppliers and customers who dealt with any of the 22 companies, the dissolution has immediate practical consequences. Outstanding debts owed by the struck-off companies may become difficult to recover, and any ongoing contracts are effectively terminated by the loss of corporate capacity.

Affected parties are advised to review their exposure to the named entities and, where necessary, seek legal advice on their rights and remedies following the dissolution. The gazette notice serves as the official public record of the strike-off and is the authoritative reference for confirming the status of any of the companies listed.
