Acehúche increases the credit to renew public lighting by 14,335.74 euros

The Acehúche City Council has definitively approved credit modification no. 23/2026, in the form of a credit supplement, which adds 14,335.74 euros to replacement investments in public lighting. The announcement, signed by the Mayor-President Benito Arias Gregorio on October 23, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0206 on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in Section I (Local Administration), with official reference CVE BOP-2026-5018. The operation increases the available credit in that application from 82,535.87 to 96,871.61 euros.

Initial approval in September and no objections

The file was processed as a credit supplement charged to the treasury surplus for general expenses. The Plenary of the City Council initially approved the modification in its ordinary session on September 23, 2026, an agreement that was published in the BOP of Cáceres no. 0186 on September 29, 2026, page 22107, for the purposes provided for in Article 177 in relation to Article 169 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.

The public exhibition was open for a period of fifteen business days from the day following the publication of the announcement. Since no allegations, objections, or observations were presented, the file was definitively approved without the need for a new plenary agreement, as now stated in the definitive announcement published on October 27, which adheres to Article 169.1, by referral of 179.4, of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.

The figures of the modification

The credit supplement is concentrated in a single application of the expenditure budget:

• Economic application 619.00 — “Other replacement investments. Public lighting. MIE”.
• Current credits: 82,535.87 euros.
• Approved credit supplement: 14,335.74 euros.
• Final credits: 96,871.61 euros.
• Program total: identical in the three columns, as it is the only application affected.

In the revenue chapter, the financing is resolved with a single item:

• Application 870.00 — “Treasury Surplus for general expenses”.
• Allocated amount: 14,335.74 euros.
• Total revenue: 14,335.74 euros.

Deadlines and means of appeal

The announcement warns that a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed against the agreement before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura, based in Cáceres, within two months from the day of the publication of the announcement, in accordance with Article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.

The regime of Article 171 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries applies: the filing of the appeal shall not, by itself, suspend the effectiveness of the contested act, as specified in paragraph 3 of the same provision.

Scope for the municipality

The operation allows the council to address a public lighting installation replacement package using the treasury surplus from the previous year, without resorting to new debt or an increase in tax pressure. The approved amount represents slightly more than 17% of the credit that the City Council had initially allocated to that application, so the planned intervention is now fully funded with own resources. The publication in the BOP closes the administrative processing and opens the period for the investment to be executed by the City Council of Acehúche.
