The XXXIII Ceuta Youth Awards 2026 are open with nine categories

The Councilor for Education, Culture, and Youth of the Autonomous City of Ceuta, Pilar Orozco Valverde, has approved the call for the XXXIII Ceuta Youth Awards 2026 through Decree No. 9480, dated September 16, 2026. The summary is published in the Official Gazette of the City of Ceuta (BOCCE) No. 6,655, dated September 25, 2026, within the General Provisions, on pages 3480 and 3481. The call establishes nine competition categories and prizes ranging from 185 to 610 euros.

The text is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and its full content can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database under the identification BDNS 930605. The regulatory bases governing the contest are published in the Extraordinary Official Gazette of the City of Ceuta No. 3, dated January 24, 2018. The decree appears signed in Ceuta on September 21, 2026, by the councilor herself.

Nine categories and amounts

The purpose of the call is to establish the criteria and procedures for the granting of the awards, which are divided into nine competition categories:

• Photography
• Painting
• Drawing
• Comics
• Illustration
• Short Story
• Youth Poetry
• Modern Youth Music
• Short Film

The amounts are divided into two groups. For Photography, Painting, Drawing, Comics, Illustration, Short Story, and Youth Poetry:

• First prize: 370 euros
• Honorable mention: 185 euros
• Award for the best photographic composition: 200 euros

For Short Film and Modern Youth Music:

• First prize: 610 euros
• Honorable mention: 370 euros

All prizes are subject to the corresponding deductions according to current legislation and will be paid, if possible in a single payment, via bank transfer to the account indicated by the beneficiary on the registration form. The funding for the amount of the grants is conditional upon the existence of adequate and sufficient credit at the time of the resolution of the grant.

Requirements and submission of applications

All young people with legal residence in the city and aged between 14 and 30 who meet the requirements and circumstances set out in the regulatory bases and in the call may participate.

The deadline for submitting applications extends until November 20, 2026, counted from the day following the publication of the summary in the BOCCE. Interested parties can obtain the application form on the website of the City of Ceuta and submit it, once completed and accompanied by the required documentation, at the Casa de la Juventud, located at Calle Teniente del Olmo, corner of Rafael Gibert, s/n.

Office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 and, additionally, Monday to Thursday from 17:00 to 19:00. Applications may also be submitted through the methods provided for in Article 38.4 of Law 30/1992, of November 26, on the Legal Regime of Public Administrations and Common Administrative Procedure.

A consolidated call for entries

With this edition, the competition reaches its thirty-third call and maintains its structure of nine disciplines, ranging from plastic arts and illustration to literary creation, music, and audiovisuals. The funding is concentrated in the modalities with the highest production costs—Short Film and Modern Youth Music—which receive the highest first prize of 610 euros.

The call is based on the regulatory bases approved in 2018 and the general subsidy regime of Law 38/2003, which requires the abstract to be published in both the official bulletin of the City and the National Subsidy Database. The deadline, which closes on November 20, leaves slightly less than two months from the publication of the abstract to prepare and register the works.

Impact for young creators in Ceuta

The prizes offer young people aged 14 to 30 residing in Ceuta a stable channel of recognition and funding for their creative projects, with nine categories covering very different disciplines and free access through the Youth House. The call also maintains the link between the Autonomous City and the state subsidy advertising system, which guarantees the traceability of the grants awarded.
