Abierta información pública de la expropiación para la mina Tarradillos-1 en Nidáguila

The Official Gazette of Castilla y León of Friday, October 16, 2026 (no. 201, pp. 63-64) opens the public information period for the compulsory expropriation file linked to the resource exploitation concession of section C) of the Mining Law “Tarradillos-1” no. 4445-10, in the municipality of Nidáguila (Valle de Sedano, Burgos). The initiative is urged by the holding company, Jemjo Gestión y Administración de Empresas, S.L., to continue extractive activity. The announcement is signed by the Head of the Territorial Service of Industry, Trade and Economy of Burgos, M.ª Dolores Velasco Lajo, dated October 9, 2026.

The file is processed in the Territorial Service of Industry, Trade and Economy of Burgos, dependent on the Department of Environment and Energy of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, and is published in section I. Community of Castilla y León, heading E.2. Other Official Announcements.

The concession “Tarradillos-1” no. 4445-10 implies a declaration of public utility under Article 105 of the Mining Law, which enables the holding company to promote the occupation of the necessary land. According to the documentation provided in the file, the declared purpose is to continue extractive activity in the area.

Five affected properties in the municipality of Nidáguila

The list of affected assets is limited to the following properties, all located within the boundaries of the concession and with the Administrative Board of Nidáguila as the owner:

  • Property 1: polygon 508, plot 5306; cadastral area of 1,358,448 m² and 104.393 m² of full ownership expropriation; cadastral reference 09376E508053060000GR; pastures and dryland crops.
  • Property 2: polygon 510, plot 9001; 12,225 m² cadastral and 3.477 m² expropriated; reference 09376E510090010000GZ; public domain communication route.
  • Property 3: polygon 510, plot 5011; 438,331 m² cadastral and 138.952 m² expropriated; reference 09376E510050110000GK; irrigated land.

Altogether, the full ownership area proposed for expropriation amounts to 851.822 m², distributed among five plots in polygons 508 and 510.

Fifteen days to file objections and consult the file

In accordance with Article 18 of the Compulsory Expropriation Law, a public information period of fifteen days is opened, starting from the day following the last of the publications. During this period, any person may:

  • Submit in writing the appropriate data to rectify possible errors in the list of assets.
  • Oppose, for reasons of substance or form, the necessity of occupation, pursuant to Article 19 of the same regulation.

The file may be examined Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Territorial Service of Industry, Trade and Economy of Burgos, at Plaza de Bilbao, 3, 1st floor, by appointment via telephone 947 281544 or email expropiaciones.energiayminas.bu@jcyl.es.

Impact for the owners and the municipality

The publication directly affects the Administrative Board of Nidáguila, the entity holding the five plots included in the list, and opens the door to the occupation of communal lands and public domain roads to support the mining operation. This procedure does not yet resolve the expropriation: it is the moment when interested parties can correct cadastral errors or challenge the necessity of occupation before the procedure advances. The continuity of the extractive activity of “Tarradillos-1” is, therefore, conditioned on the result of this allegations period and the subsequent resolution of the file.
