Aalborg court weighs three-year bankruptcy ban on Jakob Daa Jensen
Por FactBox Admin

The curator of the bankruptcy estate of Ravnsgaard Rental Holding ApS (CVR-nr. 39584247) has asked Retten i Aalborg to impose a three-year bankruptcy quarantine on Jakob Daa Jensen. The request is published in Statstidende on 8 October 2026 under case BS-27012/2026-ALB, and the court has given the named person four weeks to submit a written response.
The claim and the estate
Advokat Rune Tandgaard Derno, acting as curator in the estate, filed the request against Jakob Daa Jensen, whose last known address is Revlingbakken 33, 7 806, 9000 Aalborg. The curator asks that he be placed under konkurskarantæne for three years.
The case concerns whether there are grounds to impose bankruptcy quarantine under section 157 of the Danish Bankruptcy Act (konkursloven). The court notes that the case is being heard under the revised rules on konkurskarantæne, because the bankruptcy decree was issued after 1 July 2024.
The curator submitted a reasoned notification to Skifteretten i Aalborg on 7 May 2026 stating that a quarantine case should be opened, with reference to the curator’s report under section 125(2) of the Bankruptcy Act. The present writ (stævning) is filed under section 160(1), cf. section 161.
Court procedure and deadline
- The court has called on Jakob Daa Jensen to file a statement of defence (svarskrift) within four weeks via minretssag.dk, logging in with MitID.
- The statement must set out his claim and the grounds for it, and state whether he wants a meeting in the skifteret; if not, the court may decide the case on the written record, cf. section 162(1).
- If the deadline is missed, the skifteret will rule in line with the claim in the procedural document and decide on costs.
- The request and the deadline for the statement of defence are being served publicly because Jakob Daa Jensen’s current whereabouts are unknown.
- The document is dated at Retten i Aalborg on 6 October 2026.
Consequences and registration
If quarantine is imposed, the person may not take part in the management of a business for up to five years without being personally and unlimitedly liable for its obligations — in practice, he may not sit in the management of companies. Breaching an imposed quarantine can lead to stricter terms (skærpede vilkår), liability for debts not covered by the estate if a company he manages goes bankrupt, and punishment under the criminal code for running a business without the right to do so.
A person placed under konkurskarantæne is registered in Erhvervsstyrelsen’s register of persons under bankruptcy quarantine, which records when the quarantine takes effect and when it expires. Information in the register may be handed to the skifteret, the police and the prosecution service; where stricter terms apply, it is passed to Skatteforvaltningen.
The court also notes that a ruling (kendelse) on konkurskarantæne does not have to be served, cf. section 164(2), and that once issued it will be available on minretssag.dk. A person who wants a court-appointed lawyer may apply if he meets the financial conditions for free legal aid under section 325 of the Administration of Justice Act, cf. section 163, first sentence, of the Bankruptcy Act; the state covers the cost, but a person who is placed under quarantine must expect to repay it.
A parallel case
On the same day, Statstidende published a second request from the same curator against Jakob Daa Jensen, this time in the estate of LittleThings.dk ApS (CVR-nr. 38335391), registered as case BS-26405/2026-ALB. It likewise seeks a three-year konkurskarantæne and carries the same four-week deadline for a statement of defence.
The case matters to anyone checking who is behind a Danish company: a quarantine bars the person from company management for up to five years and is recorded in Erhvervsstyrelsen’s public register, so the outcome will be visible to business partners, creditors and authorities.
