The Xunta publishes the residential photovoltaic grants awarded in 2025

The Axencia Instituto Enerxético de Galicia has publicized the grants awarded for photovoltaic energy projects in the residential sector in non-urban areas, through a resolution dated August 10, 2026, published in the Diario Oficial de Galicia (DOG no. 156, of August 19). The list, which includes hundreds of beneficiaries among individuals and homeowners’ associations, is charged to a budget of 2,000,000 euros.

The grants are called under a competitive bidding process under the Resolution of September 30, 2025, which establishes the regulatory bases and the selection of collaborating entities, and are co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) within the framework of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027 in Galicia. They are processed through procedures IN421N and IN421O, and their publication complies with Article 15 of Law 9/2007 on subsidies in Galicia, and Article 17 of Law 1/2016 on transparency and good governance.

Amounts and Budget

Annex I of the resolution details the grants awarded, stating the file code, the name of the applicant, the score obtained, and the amount. Individual grants reach up to 6,000 euros, while homeowners’ associations can receive higher amounts, such as the 22,422.91 euros awarded to the Comunidade de Propietarios Luis Calvo, 16-18, Nevedas, 2.

Beneficiaries

The list mainly includes individuals from all over Galicia, ordered by the score obtained in the competitive process. Among the top positions are María Purificación Fernández Giráldez (97.57 points, 6,000 €), María Fe Pedrouzo Lois (97.38, 6,000 €) and María del Carmen Salgado Solveira (96.73, 3,865.95 €). Grants are also awarded to homeowners’ associations, such as the Comunidade de Propietarios Calle Vigo (10,345.50 €) and the Comunidade de Propietarios Rúa Tras do Cádavo, 11 (3,418.25 €).

Legal Framework and Transparency

The publication of the grants awarded is mandatory by law, with the aim of guaranteeing transparency in the management of public funds. The resolution was signed in Santiago de Compostela on August 10, 2026, by the director of the agency, Pablo Fernández Vila.

The publication allows individuals and installers to know the result of the call and the amount assigned to each project, in a context of promoting photovoltaic self-consumption in the Galician countryside financed with European CAP funds.
