The Xunta puts two lots of properties in Santiago and Santa Comba up for bid

The Xunta de Galicia is selling through a face-to-face public auction two lots of regional government-owned properties located in the municipalities of Santiago de Compostela and Santa Comba. The auction will take place at 10:30 a.m. on 21.10.2026 in Room D of the San Caetano Administrative Building, in Santiago de Compostela. The announcement was published in the Diario Oficial de Galicia no. 174, of September 14, 2026.
The sale was agreed upon by the Order of the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration of 5.5.2026 and is processed through the simplified procedure, with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th successive auctions if applicable. The announcement, dated August 6, 2026, was signed by José María Barreiro Díaz, Director General of Administrative Simplification and Heritage, and the board will be chaired by the Deputy Director General of Heritage, with the assistance of a lawyer from the Legal Advisory Office, a representative from the General Comptroller’s Office, and an official from the general directorate.
Two lots up for auction
Lot 1 corresponds to an urban dwelling in the Vite polygon, in Santiago de Compostela: apartment no. 4 letter D, first floor, of block 15 on Alexandre Bóveda street no. 15, with a useful area of 74.42 m². Its economic valuation is €157,870.98.
Lot 2 groups four rustic plots in the concentration area of Bazar (San Mamede), in the municipality of Santa Comba, with a total area exceeding 45,000 m²:
- Plot of 18,680 m² in Parominas (18,907 m² according to the Cadastre).
- Plot of 7,690 m² in Aveira de Mira (7,731 m²).
- Plot of 17,100 m² in Cima da Chousa de Antón (16,228 m²).
- Plot of 2,320 m² in Agra das Bouzas (2,313 m²).
Tender types and deposits
For lot 1, the tender price for the first auction is €157,870.98, with a deposit of €31,574.20; in the second it drops to €126,296.78 and in the third to €101,037.42, with a minimum bid increment of €1,000. For lot 2, the initial price is €34,776.89, with a deposit of €6,955.38, and decreases to €22,257.21 in the third auction, with a minimum increment of €100.
To participate, it is a requirement to deposit in the General Deposit Fund of the General Treasury of the Xunta de Galicia, in favor of the General Directorate of Administrative Simplification and Heritage (NIF S1511001H), at least 20% of the tender price. The guarantee may be presented in cash or by bank check on the day of the auction and will be returned to those who are not successful bidders; in the case of the successful bidder, it will form part of the purchase price.

The auction represents an opportunity for both investors and citizens to acquire public assets through open bidding, in a context where the Xunta is leveraging the value of its real estate heritage. The costs of the award and the public deed of sale shall be borne by the successful bidders, and other expenses and taxes shall be applied in accordance with the law.
