The Electoral Board corrects polling station U of section 010 of Lugo

The Provincial Electoral Board of Lugo has agreed to rectify the list of sections, locations, and polling stations in the province and to modify the location of polling station U of section 010 in the municipality of Lugo, which will now be located at the C.P.R. “Salesianos”. The correction is published by the Electoral Census Office in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 246, dated Tuesday, October 27, 2026, under reference R. 2931, and affects the elections to the Congress of Deputies and the Senate on November 29.

The publication comes two weeks after the provincial gazette disseminated the complete list of sections, locations, and polling stations on October 12, 2026 (number 233). That list is what is now being amended, by agreement of the provincial board, for a single polling station in the municipal district of Lugo. The announcement was signed in Lugo on October 23, 2026, by the provincial delegate of the Electoral Census Office, José Manuel Colmenero Álvarez.

What changes for the voters of polling station U

The affected polling station is identified as municipality 028 (Lugo), district 05, section 010, polling station U. These are the details that voters must keep in mind to locate their polling place, as the electoral location is not the one that appeared in the previous publication.

• New electoral location: C.P.R. “Salesianos”, praza da Milagrosa number 10, 27003 Lugo.
• Previous electoral location (published on October 12): Centro de Saúde “A Milagrosa”, rúa Río Ser number 7, 27004 Lugo.
• Voters called to vote at this station: those whose first surname initial is between A and Z.
• Date of the electoral appointment: Sunday, November 29, 2026.

The streets still assigned to polling station U

The rectification does not alter the territorial scope of the polling station, which maintains the same streets and population entities of the Lugo urban center. The list of streets included in the announcement is as follows:

• Alacante, praza (complete).
• Camiño Real (do), rúa, numbers 65 to 99.
• Lamas de Prado, rúa, numbers 2 to 48.
• Río Mera, rúa (complete).
• Río Navia, rúa, numbers 4 to 22.
• Río Ser, rúa, numbers 1 to 19.
• Unidade (da), rúa (complete).

Anyone whose residence is on one of these streets and whose first surname begins with any letter between A and Z must therefore go to the Salesianos and not to the health center that appeared in the first list.

Framework: an electoral fence under review

The general elections were called by Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, from the Presidency of the Government, published in the Official State Gazette on October 6. The applicable regulation is Organic Law 5/1985, of the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), which requires the publication of sections, locations, and polling stations and opens a period for claims against the delimitation.

According to the announcement of the initial list, voters had six days from that publication to file claims against the delimitation carried out before the Provincial Electoral Board, under article 24 of the LOREG. The provincial board was constituted on October 9, 2026, according to the announcement published in the bulletin of October 14, under the presidency of Sandra María Piñeiro Vilas and with secretary Justino Gonzalo Corchero Martín.

For the voters of table U of section 010 of Lugo, the practical consequence is immediate: the voting point changes building within the same neighborhood, a few meters between Río Ser street and Milagrosa square. The rectification published on October 27 is, therefore, the valid reference to consult the location and the table before November 29.
