The Xunta calls for the free appointment of the Deputy Directorate of Transport Planning

The Department of Presidency, Justice and Sports announces the provision, through the system of free appointment, of the position of Deputy General Director of Transport Planning, with level 30 and group A1, assigned to the General Directorate of Mobility. The call is published in the Official Gazette of Galicia number 176, of September 16, 2026, by means of the Order of September 7, 2026, and is open to career civil servants of the Xunta de Galicia, the State, and the autonomous communities.

The call is processed under Article 92 of Law 2/2015, of April 29, on public employment in Galicia, and Articles 25 to 28 of Decree 151/2022, of August 4, which regulates the mobility procedures for career civil servants of the general Administration of the Autonomous Community. The order was signed by the counselor Diego Calvo Pouso and exhausts the administrative route.

The position and requirements

The announced position has the code PR.C09.00.001.15770.001 and is located in Santiago de Compostela. It is a position of indistinct assignment, which allows civil servants from different administrations to apply.

• Type of assignment: A11 (indistinct for civil servants of the Xunta de Galicia, State, and Autonomous Communities).

How to submit the application

Applications, according to the model in Annex II of the order, shall be addressed to the Technical General Secretariat of the department and must be submitted electronically through the standardized form of procedure PR004A, available on the electronic office of the Xunta de Galicia. Any admitted identification and signature mechanism may be used, including the Chave365 system.

Applicants must attach their curriculum vitae to the request and provide documentary justification for the merits they claim. In the event that a civil servant from other administrations is selected, a favorable report from the competent body of their Administration of origin will be required.

Deadlines and taking office

The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen (15) business days counting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of Galicia. The resolution will be published in the official bulletin and may be declared void if deemed appropriate.

• Taking office without change of residence: three business days.
• Taking office with change of residence: seven business days.
• Re-entry into active service: one month.

Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Councilor for Presidency, Justice and Sports within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the competent jurisdictional body within two months.

The call opens an access route to a key management position in the organization of transport in Galicia, at a time when mobility and public transport planning are central to the regional agenda. The possibility of applications from State officials and those from other communities expands the range of candidacies and reinforces the professional nature of the selection.
